I must say every time I used the MR ORC, he has done well by me, Each time I put him on the table and there was a enemy TAG, I would send in the ORC and the TAG would die.

LT doesn't make you immune to LoL, you just don't lose your whole turn, only half or two thirds of it. Still a big loss.

I think ORCs don't need a situation to be useful, they are the same all the time, there's no bloat that you'll only use against some enemies. :)

    That's exactly a measure! :D

They're PH 14, with no grenades, no smoke, no CC abilities or weapons, that stat is pure bloat on them.
Sure "they dodge good" and are marginally more likely to be medikitted back to life than not...

"They're cheaper than these other units, that do everything they do but better" isn't a measure at all.
Swiss can use marker state for free movement, come with a native -6 to hit and can surprise shot.
Aquila auto reveal camo/TO and ignore all CH/ODD modifiers.
Both are better at shooting than the ORC before any of their base abilities kick in (BS 15 vs 14).
Both, despite being just as poor as ORCs in CC (Swiss marginally better due to surprise attack), at least bothered to bring a CCW of some sort so their PH isn't entirely wasted (though is also clearly just to bump their points up).

They didn't even get a decent specialist, the AHD on a WIP 12 HI... **shudder**

There is so much room for improvement on their profile.

Totally agree with all of it. But didn't really said otherwise. What I meant, if there are no special skills, there's not much to be wasted.

See, I have no problem with a vanilla (i.e. no skills) HI, it's the loadouts that make so little sense (and are a massive missed opportunity).
Why are they packing no DTW? (there is a MR+LFT and a MR+HFT on other PanO profiles)
Why didn't they bring grenades (literally any type!) or drop bears? (even though I shudder at the cost of drop bears in comparison with regular mines)
Why isn't there an Auxbot profile? (or dare we hope for another Auxbot_2)
As I said before, a special fireteam Haris option with 2 Bolts would open up a world of possibilities.

They're like Bolts in that you never put your base list together, find you have ~1/4 of your points left after active, reactive and specialist choices and and go "ooh, wouldn't it be good to include ORCs", there are simply better toys available as filler in NCA. If you've got a specific mission in mind, you can build a list around them, they just lack any sort of "wow" factor.

(seriously, PH13 WIP13 would at least make the AHD sort of bearable...)

Well, they are the only HI we have that have access to Tinbot with deflector. Add Fairy Dust and they aren't that easy to hack. And yes, ORCs are good. For having run solo knights often enough, BS 14 with nothing more fancy is enough most of the time. Aquila is useful for killing watch towers and that is why I love him but for the dirty rampage, I prefer an ORC with HMG just because he is cheap and deadly. In short, I find that he is a very good Kleenex rambo.

Orc ing is about all I can bring myself to use. I wish there were more flexible link options.

I've have heard excellent joke today in club about Bolts and new Raicho from our top player.

"Raicho is Botlt's father. Multi HMG + HSG and better drop bears. With actually usefull Veteran"

    xD
