(0.5 | 13) 3.5 SWC | 298 Points Was fairly unsatisfied with the list optimisation for the mission, way too much Infiltrating stuff for an exclusion zone mission. Game was a weird one too with a Santiago KHD getting bricked by an E/M Grenade. Not by the Hulang though. Kuang Shi looted them out of a Panoply and chucked them at the link. Hulang did manage to cut Joan in half, and was then killed by a Hospitaller Doctor when he tried to repeat the trick on that. Plan to reoptomise the list and take another run at the mission. The mission parameters of "cram alot of high value models into an 8"x8" square" heavily raises the value of that monofilament sword to actually reliable levels.

This time constructed the list to operate going second and to attack in waves. Hulang turn one, Zencha turn 2, Su Jian turn 3 (if necessary). Hulang managed to cut Patsy down before getting shot in the back by a Zulu Cobra and dieing, but successfully cleared the room. Overall I am satisfied so far that the Hulang is viable in missions where tough, high value models are pushed into attempting to camp a central objective for points for Vanilla. So Show of Force, Acquisition, the objective room missions. There's enough there that the model can find and execute work or seek a trade up on a model that would otherwise require an excessive amount of gunfire at rangebands potentially unfriendly to our normal Spitfire/HMG toting models.. I am still out on whether it's viable on more spread out missions like Supremacy and I plan to give it some more time there. This I do agree with. The dual SMGs are alluring but ultimately, a likely trap in my opinion.
