Hi, I'm starting Pan-O again and trying to base my list around my favourite units, the Aux Bot Heavy Flamethrowers. The core of it is having the Evo-Mule for overclock or reset and a lot of bots and the trick is the absentee second group for Killing hacking ARO's, Objective grabbing, and flanks. Robots, and their friends ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 10 MULEBOT Hacker (EVO Hacking Device) Electric Pulse. (0.5 | 25) MULEBOT (Minesweeper, Repeater) Electric Pulse. (0 | 27) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army The hardest thing in Pan-O I've found so far is choosing a LT. It's pretty difficult in vanilla, and the Fusilier is very obvious and weak in my list.
I feel like this list is trying to be too many things at once. Either the Crusader, or the Locust, are probably better dropped in return for Fugazi (which are great ARO pieces with B2 Flash Pulse) and a Pathfinder (which is great as a fast Specialist). But your core concept is solid!
I love Remotes! PanO has some of the best, cheapest ones with great AVA. That said, if you want to run a remote heavy list, everything that isn't a killy remote should be synergizing with them. I would suggest dropping the crusader down to an Akal with a spitfire and using the extra .5 SWC to drop an assault hacker in there. maybe the Father Knight assault hacker? he offers a good specialist with tough as nails armor and BTS. to fit him in I recommend dropping the Locust and possibly the Crocman, as you already have decent mid field presence. Fugazis are a great addition imo. As for LTs, we have obvious cheerleader LTs or big tough aggressive LTs with no easy access CoC. Take your pick haha.
Thanks, adding a Fugazi or a Pathfinder to the list makes a lot of sense, even for just sensor too! I had another friend suggest to move another unit to the second order group too, which would let me sub in attack pieces into the main pool as I needed them. It seems like another interesting idea! I'm going to build another list specifically for hiding the LT a little better, and you're right maybe I should be less greedy with midfield pieces.
I second the Fugazi/Pathfinder... Maybe even two Fugazi. That Flashpulse at Burst 2 is solid gold, and I don't view Sensor as optional.
Mayhaps you could try adding a couple of Fusiliers to the list. At 10 points per head rocking BS 12 combirifles they are solid cheerleaders and you can hide the real Lt. As a rule of thumb: 1 decoy makes assasination attempts far less likely and in case of 2 decoys chances are very high your opponent will not bother making a run. Obviously you should hide all troopers well!
