I see. Actually that helps for me finding similar bases for my Yu Jing/JS, provided they still sell them. So thanks. :)
I can actually do one better. Check this out. http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/22-textured-rolling-pins They work exceptionally well. If you use an mdf round instead of a plastic base, you can also use clay instead of greenstuff, which is cheaper, but also holds more of a sharp edge.
I have a few of those and intend to buy more. The pins have a slight learning curve but nothing difficult. You just have to get used to the rolling aspect to make the designs come out "perfect" or to your liking. If you like any of the styles/themes of these rolling pins @TanakoSkyler22 then I suggest buying them. I will still buy any bases with themes I like that don't come in the pins current selection. It all comes down to preferring the theme's look when I decide to get bases/rolling pins.
Even though he said they are mostly for MDF bases, can they still work on the plastic bases that come with the models? Edit: Sorry, misread his post. Ignore that. Think one or two of them will fit for what I have in mind.
Oh Oh Yeah. It'll work just fine - clay is much cheaper than greenstuff, and holds a better edge than greenstuff... but requires baking. You can't bake a plastic base.. Lol. You CAN bake an mdf base
Sorry I have a bit silent on here. School work and RL stuff had me away for a bit. Managed to finish up my last Fat Yuan Yuan and my Haramakis. Though R.I.P Haramaki boys since they are gone once Uprising drops. :'( Still have to give them names and the like.
Ya, I bet alot of people will miss them. Lets hope their replacements will fulfill their job just as well or better.
Alright, well it seems I have been dead for a while on updating this since my Thesis has been taking priority and never gotten a chance to update what I have painted yet. That said, there is some news.. I did strip all my PanO models save for the ones I have done in my new color scheme. My goal is to go for a more cohesive look across my PanO collection, going for a more darker and black-ops feel to them. The hue and tone is mixing the two colors of the Trioptium Corporation's logos from the system shock series.
Some test images of what I have in mind for my new PanO scheme: TriIndigo Resources Group- Tactical Services Division. The company itself is based on Varuna, but also employs the services from members from the NeoTerran Capitaline Army, Shock Army of Acontecimento and units from Svalarheima to give themselves a rounded set of skills.
