Holoprojector lvl1 has the exact same wording in it's cancelation clauses. The trooper in Holoprojector L1 state declares a Skill other than Cautious Movement or a Short Movement Skill that does not require a Roll (except Alert). And in the Holo1 examples it says A Fireteam Core of Janissaries with a Hafza in Holoprojector L1 state imitating a Janissary, declares a Move + BS Attack Order. The Hafza, who is not the Team Leader, moves and provides support to the Team Leader, which is considered an Idle. As this Short Movement Skill doesn't require a Roll, the Hafza is not revealed, and so remains in the Holoprojector L1 state. So, wouldn't that mean you wouldn't break stealth as well @ijw ?
Yeah. That example is badly justified. It's basically a "hey, we don't want to screw Hafzas" exception. Without that example Hafzas would have been screwed. No similar exception exists for Stealth.
It's not an exception though, it's saying that since the model is considered to idle, it doesn't declare the bs attack and thus declares a short move skill instead of a bs attack. That part has nothing to do with the holoprojector rules specifically.
Which directly contradicts the Fireteam rules: which are explicit that all members of the Fireteam declare the Support Skill. And that example explicitly discusses Holo 1 in the Holo 1 rules. So while you can argue it's generalisable I can argue that it's exceptional. The only thing that we know for certain is that CB doesn't understand how they've written Fireteams to work (see NCO and Tactical Sense).
