Cho or the Alpha might also be in Starmada, giving more potential sources for CoC

It's not required, but it would make sense given Saladin is in there and relatively easily dispatched if they don't change his profile for O-12.
And considering O-12 is all about optimized units, it makes sense to just give them a cheapish CoC to back up Saladin, who is not as defensible as the Alpha, for example.

Also, we have some precedent for recent factions: TAK had the Tankhunter CoC, OSS had the Shukra and Adil was added to WB in Beyond Kaldstrom. Sval and Shasvastii admittedly didn't get an option (beyond proxying a different Caliban), but I can see this becoming a trend towards LTs becoming more secure in general.

It's also just a hunch, so it might be total nonsense.

Since it's pure speculation, I'd say Cho is fairly likely to be in there but Alpha not so much. Alpha seems rather self-contained and kind of steps on the role of both Saladin and Cho while Cho and Saladin both complement each other - if, of course, Saladin is still focused on providing Strategos 3 like he is in Haqq, which of course isn't a given.

    Keep in mind a few things, though;
    1. Not all sectorials have Chain of Command, they're not designed to offer that safety net.
    2. Not all Chain of Command miniatures are designed to be a safety net (see Adil and Pheasants)
    3. We don't know how Saladin will work in O-12. He might be very different from Haqq.
    4. Haqq Saladin isn't fragile. Haqq Saladin is on level of a Zuyong heavy infantry.

White Banner already had Chain of Command from Lei Gong, what I think they attempted to add with Adil was a wildcard melee unit and a sensor unit as well as Yu Jing's first Veteran. We also don't know whether or how Loss of Lieutenant will punish you. If LoL is less definitive than now in N4, having a Chain of Command might be a very minor benefit.

this really wasn't what I was expecting. Really gonna have to hold off full judgement till I see all the unit profiles.

I just feel kinda underwhelmed. And maybe a little disappointed. though some of that might be because everything here wasn't what I was expecting. So Starmada is not a naval regular military faction or a police faction. It's a strange hybrid of the two. Like Onyx Contact Force. Think also some of the things I was really hoping to see change in N4 look to be holding the status quo or getting worse [though for the the most part till now, things have been looking really good for N4] Gives me some hope that we'll eventually see the O-12 military faction some day and the O-12 police faction. It'll just be some years down the road.

once I'm over myself, I'll be more in the spirit of things. Fingers crossed the Nyoka will look pretty cool.

I don't know what your talking about but this IS pretty much the military army of O-12. However, O-12 will always be partly a police force given their status in the human sphere as the armed forced of the SPACE UN.

Not sure what to think about the Bronze yet, seems like a mini TM but without the koalas.

The Blue coats, and Law keeper both add a little bit of character and personality to what is other wise a bland faction as a whole (something I hope is continued with the Psycops, Nyokka and Raptors). Both of which I really like the profiles of.
Also Crushers are probably the best thing here so far.

Hector in a core team is going to be all kinds of fun.

I'm confused. How are Blue coats and Lawkeepers out of character?

He means they are characterful, not out of character. I assume referencing the hat of the blue coat and the judge dredd look from the lawkeeper.

They arent out of character, I said they added it.

so far just about everything in the faction has been fairly bland from a design point as we've seen it in other factions. These two are unique, interesting, and add something to the faction that is distinct to the faction.

They have distinct aesthetic. Most of the other shit if you just painted it white and grey and told people it was a new Aleph sectorial they'd quite possibly believe you.
