@Savnock I don't think they took many orders. I made a crucial mistake with my Heckler first, which was an important roadblock but then I managed to attack your link with my Überfallkommando pretty easily. So I was 'ok' for the moment. You had your first turn only killed my Heckler and the second turn you were busy with the Überfallkommando. But then the ARO Crit vs. the Intruder happened as well as the Loss of LT. Otherwise with at least my LT alive I would have achieved a victory or with the f****** Multiscanner at least a tie. :) It was a fun, tense and close match.

So the Riot Grrls are very vulnerable against CC. I liked the fireteam though, especially with Emily. But like @inane.imp mentioned: They really shined when they dodged all my attacks.

Oh yeah, you did for them with the Uberfalls, but remember that I then stood everyone who was wounded back up. That's one of the secrets to making them an effective order sink for opponents. I've been totally gutted before and had the whole link on the ground, spent the orders from my second group getting the Girls back up, and then they all have to be dealt with again. Even if three survive, deeply annoying.

My point is that they are just really absorbent defensively. I'm not the most skilled player, so their resilience gives me a small buffer to compensate for rash moves and poor choices (like moving the link up to midfield that first turn).

In retrospektive I should have used the Fast Panda as ARO with Heckler and afterwards used my last order to finish the Grrls off instead of going into impersonation with Mary. Then it would have been less a problem. :) I always thought they are the best HI in the game.

Because StarCo has a strict code of Honor. Scarface is a Maniac who doesn't care a fuck about
collateral damage. He does not fitt in and would not be empoyed. He is more a guy for Ikari or druze. There he fitts perfectly.

Soaking up orders is indeed something the Grrls are good in. Especially with their Blitzens (had Achilles as statue in the last tournament game :D) and if they don't wear their paper armour.

Except for my first game it was a really fun experience even for my 4th attendance :) Further I got an Anaconda as prize! That's awesome since I'd never thought of buying it but now I'll definitely build, paint and play it (a battle with the Anaconda vs. some Varunian Snake Eaters is planned as well :P).
And I had the same idea to introduce myself but there were too many new faces and to many already known people that I didn't have a chance to look for you... For the Satellite in february I might have to persuade my Professors to schedule the exams either right before the Event or weeks after otherwise I'll be chained to my desk learning.

Oh , the Anaconda. The model is awesome, but the profile needs 6-4 desperately and maybe one point more STR.

Hey, for those points you get the Peugot of TAGs (a crappy tin can that the French are strangely way into. :D ).

Didn't realize that it's that slow. And I didn't realize that you get a whole Alguacil Link with an HMG, an LGL and a Specialist for the same Points | SWC! What a piece of snake poop...

@Savnock there must be a shittier french car brand than Peugeot since that was my first car for 12 years. It was a nice, comfy and trustworthy car. And I bet if I would've mounted an HMG on it it would've lived longer than an Anaconda does ;)

Yeah. Annie needs some love. She and the Iggy have benefited least from the changes to TAGs. Tactical sense for both of them and the Gorgos (on the TAG profile) makes the most sense to me.

But that'll depend on the cost of the skill.

4-4 would be fine if it had a 3rd STR so that way it wouldnt go down like a sack of shit from one lost F2F, a Tag should be able to tank a ARO for the most part.

Though if you want to succeed with it you need to play real cagey and pick your engagements. or keep it as a 3rd turn pusher which feels bad.

still doesnt stop me from fielding that awesome looking model and trying to make it work.

Comparing Annie to a Mobile Brigada with HMG is a great way to give yourself a sadness. :)

Particularly since most people think the MB HMG is sub-par.

Overcosted yeah, but otherwise an HI HMG is rarely a bad thing. Especially in a full link with cheap filler.

Just insane... didn't see that until now. 'Muricaaaah! Also I had an HMG with less damaging side effects in mind :P

Now about the tactica: I'll participate with StarCo in an Escalation League @ZlaKhon created and with the additional insights I'll hopefully gather there I might be able to write something up that counts as a tactica. Since you and @inane.imp have clearly different POVs on certain troops than me I had the idea of doing this together to give the players a most complete overview.

    Edit: missed some words

Actually we agree, we're just describing it differently: 'sub-par' and 'overcosted' are two ways to describe the same problem. MB HMGs are solid and get work done, but they're expensive for what you get.

Gonna try to get in a lot more Massacre/Brigada time now that I'm done with tourneys for a couple months, as they seem pretty underplayed compared to the Grrls.

I've tried them in three games with mixed results, but never tried a smaller assault team with just one Brigada, Massacre, and Doctor Fangirl. I wish that was a Haris option- but I'll try it out even if it sucks up the Core slot.

Has anyone else tried out a small Brigada-plus team?

    I think @ZlaKhon played them.
I had similar ideas with a small Brigada Core and a Riot Grrl Haris (Tohaa Triad styled army) but I never played it because I like the SSL2 and BS+3 bonuses of a full Core way too much.

Was kind of looking at the Riot Grrl Haris alongside a 3-man Brigada Core, but thought it loses some of the advantage that -tons- of orders can give you. +3 BS and SSL2 are great, but if it's basically a Massacre Transport Team, maybe the shooting part matters less for that team.

Seems like a good opportunity to stuff a Brawler sniper team in there too. Probably not the most balanced list but with a crapton of smoke and chainrifles, could be fun to play against Caledonians, QK, Corregidor, and anyone else who wants to abuse basic-ass smoke.

    Maybe something like this:
