And being usable in Saturation Zones. As one of our meta guys put it "Teucer now looks like competent CC fighter, with CC range of 48" ".
If I remember correctly, it was already stated by CB, that 3rd Offensive only contains the Army list and the miniatures release is next year as planned. No no fault from CB there. And honestly, anyone complaining about that would complain about anything (to say it very, very polite), because an early releae of the Army gives players the opportunity not only play IA sooner, but also to make a more informed decision, what models to buy when they will hit the shelfs. A clear win-win situation for the players, so complainig really isnt justified.
You know that, I know that. Doesn't change the fact that there are some geniuses have ben yelling murder since two months prior to Uprising's release. There is a non ironical thread called "Invincible Army Postmortem" based on two not amazing but okay profiles. Despite their opposite claims, they're neither that many nor even close to a majority. But they simply won't accept reality and are beyond help unless we give them Linkable Posthumans or something along the lines. I'll just trust them to find a way to ruin the fun for everyone as they always try to do. lets try this: yadda yadda CB fanboy comments incoming Called it!
Maybe try not to be so salty..? You've made literally no useful point with this post, and all you're going to do is stir up shit. Take a step back - do you like IA as they've been spoiled so far? If yes, great, you can choose to ignore those who are unhappy or you can engage them and do like ObviousGray (and others) where they've been doing some good playtesting and showing what they think of things; if no, ok then. You don't have to read the forum, but you shouldn't actively try to make it worse.
Some free advice, ignoring doesn't work. The idiots will show up at your door (so in this case every other section of the forum) and preach about how they have been so woefully wronged to an audience with no interest in their story. Read some recent PanO MO threads for reference. Quite sure those are quite civil on the PanO side of expectations, but every few pages a wild YJ player appears to complain how much better MO is gonna be than IA. Some more free advice, engaging the idiots does not work either. They're pretty irredeemable at this point, honestly don't bother. The target audience should be the sane majority to raise some awareness about a small militant group blowing a non existent problem out of proportion. If I could contain the yelling and foaming anti Uprising crowd, I would. Alas this is a free country and so are many others. Dragging them out into the light once in a while to let them sabotage themselves will do, they do a rather good job at it (and still refuse to stop anyway, they have some tenacity, I'll give them that). Mindless positivity is how you get a shitty game in my humble oppinion. So criticism where criticism is due should be encouraged. Nothing ever is perfect.
Well, as someone who is feeling very negative about YJ in general at the moment, I have been vocally unhappy with the Zhencha/Liu Xing so far. I am also changing my tune because of the efforts of some, and because of some of the revealed information. You say "the idiots" (real nice by the way ) are irredeemable; are they? Or are they angry because CB hasn't done much to give them a reason to not be unhappy? Uprising was a complete shitshow in marketing and community management, that's almost indisputable. IA is the first time in a quite a long time (when we're talking about a closed community that has nothing else to talk about) that we actually have something to focus on; and it comes at the same time as a massive, positive change for MO (which is absolutely great, but provides a stark juxtaposition to IA reveals) where we can see some immediately excellent things...that are currently unknown for IA, while we get shown some pretty bland (if maybe serviceable) units for our turn. It's hardly surprising that there's a significant outcry/upset. And again, you say there's no point engaging: isn't there? I think through the efforts of some individuals (ie, not you with posts like these) that some of this upset has actually been cooled significantly and there is some good conversation going on about the Zhencha (particularly) and the Liu Xing (slightly rekindled since ELX has been shown to basically pillow fighting rules).
Words are getting hotter. Suggesting you guys chill out a bit. We're playing a toy soldier game; hope that doesn't hurt anyone's feeling, even it is on the on-line community.
See you're not part of the idiots. My apologies if it seemed I was including you. You appear to have a brain and capable of using it, able to see both sides and so on. I'd assume you also made your peace with Uprising by now. So no you are certainly not part of the single minded circlejerk that should show up here any minute now. I'm screptical about both MO and IA, mostly because there are a few Lt and Order economy based issues that don't seem to have any solutions yet. IA in particular has almost no useful information released to paint a picture of how everything is supposed to work together. MO apparently loses its staple link, default Lt and Order Monkey to get new options like Tik and Dart as well as vastly expanded linkability. From a hobby perspective all the new shinies are great and all, but I have serious concerns about being forced to run HI Lts without CoC or spammable Veterans available. Hacking is another issue mostly for IA, so far there is nothing to really oppose it, sure there are Tinbots, but that alone is at best a bandaid. MO always had solutions for that problem with Stealth and unhackable TOFOs or Crusaders. Now they'll also have the excellent Santiago KHD to add to their options. IA has nothing to address the problem for real so far, which is partially because we haven't seen anything substantial yet. I'm as chill as humanly possible. Kallas and maybe even I are having a civil discussion on good terms. Nothing for you to do here, so... (just pulling your leg mate)
That's some revisionist history right there. How about you calm down on the fanboy rage for 5 seconds and consider a few of the several demands made during uprising: Yu Jing is no longer a frontrunner as a close combat faction, either CB needed to remove the CC tax, or improve existing profiles ability to handle themselves in CC so Yu Jing can once again compete against the high end of the curve and validate paying a CC tax across the board. Because I tell you right now paying for CC15-16 is getting fucking old. Yu Jing lost unique and lynchpin models that defined their games in Vanilla. I can tell you for a fact that the request was made that Ninjas receive a cheap end e/m CCW profile to provide a less deadly but still effective rambo deterrent. Speaking of Ninjas, people requested that CB stop shitting on us by offering not one but two other factions a very good new Ninja specialist profile, whilst omitting it from Yu Jing and leaving us with only one profile that isn't total dog shit and actually give us a reason to use that AVA 2. The request was made to raise the AVA on other skirmishers like Guilangs and Kanren for Vanilla, even if it was only temporary until our next wave of models hit, to alleviate Yu Jing from having their midfield from being gutted quite so badly. I could go on. Myself and others have made plenty of suggestions for what would've been good ideas to tide us over instead of leaving us to stew with literally nothing done in return, and not even so much as a response from CB saying they thought about it but declined for reason X. So how about you get the fuck off your high horse or piss off.
You insult everyone, spout pure nonsense, pretend that suggestions to fix the situation were both never offered, and then subsequently ignored for what, 8 months? Get called out on your bullshit then pretend you never said anything. That's some sad fanboy 101 right there. If anything is a "fucking disgrace" as you put it to these forums, it's you.
