I just had a game with Onyx vs JSA. We were playing Loot and Sabotage. 4 Unidrons: 2 Carbine/FO, Spitfire, K1/Tinbot Nexus Hacker LT (hiding in the link) Q Drone HMG Malignos Assault Hacker Ikadron Kerr Nau 10 Orders Opponent was running something like.. 5 man link of dudes (Keisotsu and Kempetai?) Neko/Daiyokai with Red Fury/Someone else 2 guys with Rifles and MSV2 Ninja Hacker Saito (datatracker) I choose to take Initiative. Turn 1: Sphinx follows the red path and begins peeling members off his 5 man link. Link breaks. When dodging presents the Sphinx with multiple MSV2 aros, it backs off behind the building with the red arrow. There were like 7 guys there, hiding around the building top left with the aircon and railings. It killed like 3-4 and ends the turn back in TO. With MSV2 guys in play, the Unidron link moves up and kills both MSV2 guys. Opponent has Saito move out from behind the center tall building with crates. Spec firing smoke as he goes as not to get smoked by the Unidrons. Making a break for it from cloud to cloud, he didn't see a Unidron hiding. It landed two plasma shots and killed him. Turn 2: Unidron link cleans up the last of the guys (leaving a prone medic no one can see) and the Sphinx follows the red path. Smashes the AC2 with my last order. Leaving it exposed and in the open, but all he's got to threaten it is the melee link. I figure if it dies, it's a fair trade. He doesn't have the orders to win from here. His melee link creeps around above the crates with the green arrow. Sphinx hiding on the side. His prone medic crawls and spots the Sphinx. I choose to let it go and hope he fails, as he's strapped for orders and I don't want the melee link to just walk in. Sadly, Sphinx is revealed. Melee link engages the Sphinx. My options are a) dodge poorly, b) burn the lot of them or c) melee strike back against an opponent with Martial Arts 3 and like melee 24 and an explosive/AP ccw. I opt to attack in melee and hope for the best. I miss. Sphinx takes 9 armour saves and dies. Ninja pops up next to the panoply and finds some D-Charges. Makes a break for the AC2 and gets shot to death. Turn 3: Kerr Nau walks up and pitches a Repeater. I repeatedly Basilisk vs. Reset his entire link model after model. Opponent concedes. I had Datascan and a FO Unidron next to the Panoply. Could've hit 10 fairly easy. ... Well there you go. An interesting looking Sphinx game.
