frankly when I play morats I simply left the hacking game at home. I rarely take remotes - usually only in support of the Raicho, and I'm not worried about my HI being hacked - Oh no! you immobilized me for a turn! How will I ever, oh? I can reset? hmm..... I don't see the loss of Bit as a problem. As far as losing her picture - well, we still have R-Drones and Ikadrons that are repeaters that contribute orders. I can't count how many times my pushes have been stopped by a flashpulse bot... I would probably swap the vanguards for Daturazi. But otherwise hilarious! Edit: Although I suppose, once one Suryat goes down you can link up the 3 vanguards with the Raktorak and 1 Suryat... Still, Datz are
I kinda have a suspicion that this is kinda... half an update. That there might be more coming in 6-8 months as part of the overall CA push in the "year of the alien"
Maybe, but maybe not. I'm not going to hold my breath for 6 more months. I see things I can work with as they stand today.
The issue was that Bit + E-Drone are great synergy together, since for 19 points you can project Exile to enemy fireteams. I don't think you have a firm grasp on the tactics here.
It's day 1, and I'm emotional about it, but I feel like this update has let me down enough for me to jump ship to the IA I purchased pre-emptively. Even after I had vocally committed to running 'Rats at the next big event. It's a problem - what are CB going to pay attention to? Clearly it isn't this forum. Are they going to more seriously review Morats if their play goes up or goes down? Are we better to boycott or to smash out as many games as possible?
I'm sorry you're not enjoying your army currently, and I hope it doesn't just turn you off of the game entirely. I've had some times where I lost steam on one force or another as well, and taking a break to play a different army or a different game entirely has usually set me right.
Had a chat with @Leviathan . I think the problem is that these MAF updates are not "Book Release"-worthy. They were not worthy of months-long hype and preamble. Had these changes been dropped on us, unsuspecting, as a minor update, people would have been happy and accepted them as a bonus; much like Onyx players get to with the Rodok and Suryat changes, having had no confirmation prior that they would get them or the Rodok Haris.
Maybe the problem isn't with the update, but with the people. CB didn't actually hype MAF changes much. VIRD, IA, MO, yes. MAF wasn't in a spotlight. It's just that people got really excited and got their hopes up.
It was grouped with them, had videos done in the same formatting. Not really sure how you can dismiss it as being on the same level.
Easily, I simply don't remember it fully. I also don't argue that I'm necessarily right, just looking for a different perspective.
Some initial tinkering around with odds over on Infinity Dice suggests the Sogorat is going to be a really solid active shooter. Comparable or even in excess of the Riacho against a lot of targets (although obviously less manoeuvrable, not a specialist etc - but still super impressive). This is a trial list just to test out a bunch of the new stuff that was originally going to include a Riacho but it's a straight swap to add in the Suryat and a Morat EIHD: Morat Aggression Force ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 7 3 4 SOGARAT (Full Auto L2) Feuerbach / Assault Pistol, AP CCW. I feel like it was presented as about on par with MO. Both of these are less significant than the newly added sectorials, but they got more than just a cursory buff of one or two units. MAF has some pretty significant changes to its fireteam compositions and unit options that will take some time to see what sort of impact they have.
They did lose a unit, but so did Military Orders (effectively). I still feel like this update added more than it took away. More to the point - Bit & Kiss weren't why I was fielding MAF.
Or its just a handful of really really upset morat players? Cause of the 6 I know of only one is actually complaining
