So you don't play like this, you don't think it works like this, yet you use it as an argument against people that disagree with you ? Do you understand how it could be a bit confusing for other people ? And I never wrote that, I always said there were two different interaction : standard BS attack for the main target and "attack from the template" (with different kind of reaction depending if the trooper has LoF on the attacker or not) for other. I supported it with a list on how the main target interaction with the attacker worked differently (obligatory LoF between main target and attacker, main target modifier affecting the roll, critical of the attacker only affecting main target).
No, I'm saying that you're missing parts of the rules by ignoring them and that the consequences of reading all the rules is that the interpretation you find most likely is that the primary target is attacked twice per template burst simply because you treat the template and the attack as being separate. And if you've read what I have written and have tried to understand it, you should have seen that my interpretation requires the main target to have those same MODs, LOF requirements, critial handling, etc as well. This is why I don't find that to be an argument working one way or the other.
