Situation Epsilon Black: A new Combined army cruiser has survived the deadly jump through the Acheron gate, with stealth systems even more potent than the known ships of the Shasvastii or the Onyx contact force it has slipped through the blockade and threatens shipping and installations throughout the Paradiso system, this deadly new adversary has been monikered ‘The Obsidian blade’. Meanwhile on Paradiso below the human factions struggle amongst themselves over territory and over the abandoned research laboratories of the Neimands zone. Finally on the Human Edge, largely disregarded by the major players in the struggles of the Human Sphere a mining operation has uncovered something more valuable than their initial prospecting reports had predicted. How it works: Situation Epsilon Black is a narrative campaign day for Infinity the game. Based on player signups there will be two or more teams of human factions and a further Team created solely from Combined army, Tohaa and Spiral corps. Each round there will different missions assigned to different tables, some generic ITS and some more narrative scenarios. Before each round is a strategy phase: teams are assigned to a number of tables and it’s up to them which player and force plays which mission. The final scoring is based on the averaged performance of each team and the narrative is set by the performance of each team and the results of the milestone missions. Lists: the event uses standard format list construction for ITS season 10 at 300 points, This event will use Ironclad, Bravery and Dogs of War Players may have up to 10 lists (can’t have people slowing things down by writing lists before each mission!) All lists must be the same Generic faction or sectorial Players will have access to a spec-op which will use the campaign rules found in daedalus falls, it’s recommended they drop in a “blank” spec-op into each list which will then be governed by a campaign control sheet. Lists can be submitted via This spreadsheet. At least one list must be submitted by the 10th of August, So I can nail down people to teams and factions. Attendees may add more lists up until the day of the event, feel free to liaise with your teammates on what to add. Teams: The teams will be determined before the event (11th of August) and confirmed at registration, if you’re wanting to be in the same group as other players (so you’re not getting paired with your local guys) it’s suggested you: Drop me a message, Play a compatible faction (NA2 factions for example will be used to balance teams) In advance of the event I should have a list of players and their intended factions, the sooner I have this information the more time I have to make the appropriate arrangements. Scoring: While some missions will be ITS standard they will not be scored in the usual ITS way, each game players will score between 0 and 4 event points: Major (scenario) win to major loss 4-0 Minor win to minor loss 3-1 Draw 2-2 Occasional narrative scenarios will have mutual loss situations. Tickets: Tickets are available from the outpost at £15 each Food, drink and other stuff Outpost is at the edge of a major wave of gentrification, for lunch we’re probably going to nip to a food hall across the road and 100m away called Cutlery Works (google it, there’s even an app where you can check out the menu in advance), if that doesn’t tickle your fancy there are more places nearby, or couple of Tescos within a 15min walk, or just bring whatever you fancy. After the event we’ll also be going for a pint at a walking distance location yet to be determined (probably the Gardeners Rest 50m away).
