A trend isn't necessarily a requirement, though. It's probably a goal for them to release 2 boxes + 3 blisters per month, but it's probably MORE important to get five releases per month. Could be the planned blister had production issues and had to go back to the drawing board, so they moved up something that was close to ready. Could be this set of models came easier than expected, so they just altered the release schedule a bit. Could also be a planned larger month to continue riding the GenCon wave a little bit. Could be that puppetactica is a blister; it's one S2 and three S1 models. Regardless, I think the Mowang price point indicates that it'll be two full Mowang models. All I really know is that i'm pretty much immediately going to buy three BSG streloks.
Everyone talking about "two full Mowang models"... When was the last time we had a double blister as a new release rather than a repack? And no, G: Sync'd stuff doesn't count.
That complicates the comparison a bit. You can look at CB's own store, you know, I'd imagine they sell at RRP, it would be odd if they recommend one price to stores and sell for a squeezed price themselves. https://store.corvusbelli.com/search?q=yan huo
Zoe and Pi-Well? Pi-Well isn't G:Synch. So, like, a year ago? Why not? It still has to be designed, planned, produced and packaged as two models. From a production standpoint "Hector + TinBot" has to have two complete models/blister.
Resculpt of an existing product and both are bought together as a unit. There's no way to take Pi-Well without Zoe or Zoe without Pi-Well. So it doesn't count. Effectively the last two model pack we had was the Pilot/Remote sets. Because those items effectively have to be packaged/sold together.
Most preorder stores already list the Mowang as Mówáng Troops (MULTI Rifle/ Red Fury) So i say two sets of arms it is.
That can't be true. It would make @kanluwen happy to have multiple arm options and we all know that isn't allowed
We've gotten some, and frankly they aren't what I'm talking about. ;) Only one that really lived up to the idea I've had was the HMG Highlander Greys, where he legit has two different poses for the arms. Everything else is just the usual suspect of "Weapon in one hand, ragefist/CCW in the other".
Except CB's price is in Euros, not dollars like we were talking earlier. And odd that CB has them at the same price while MM doesn't... *shrug* probably an artifact of the exchange rate at the time they put the data into the computer at MM.
Because of the variability of exchange rates I think it’s probably more meaningful to look at the original price in Euros.
You won't get any good data from MM, either, because their prices aren't the same as Kan's source, so you don't know what is RRP and what's store price or how they compare or what margins they set. From CB's homepage you can at least get a rough comparison between already released units.
I've said this here about a million times but it bears repeating again: Metal is a small part of the cost of these miniatures. Any scrap just goes right back in the crucible. The biggest cost directly associated with the minis is labor. The more parts and the fiddlier they are will increase the cost. You can see this on the Blackjack and the new Garudas
Frankly, the Blackjack is few parts and so simplistically easy to build that they could make Geico ads about it.
Considering the BlackJack is American that might not be too far off. Geico is a Federally owned insurance company.
Can we expect them to show up in more factions than just Ramah? Or that they will be included in SoF?
My point is that from a product point of view, two models is two models, regardless of the game rules. They didn't get to sculpt Bit and call it a day because Kiss was automatically included. What you're saying is like claiming that the Dog Warrior box doesn't count as a four-model box because you can only use two of the models in it at the same time. I still think that, regardless of past release pattern, we'll see three boxes. If we don't, I think the "box" that's most likely to be a blister is the Puppetactica, just due to the size of the models. I mean, if the Moran can fit one S2 and 2 S1 in a single blister, I don't think a third S1 is going to be impossible.
