September>December 2024: Nuclear winter has struck, leaving room for the N5

I’m noticing a trend of troops that do nothing but specialize in hacking. JSA now has the Kyosho, CA has Dartok, O-12 has Cyberghost, Aleph has Danavas, Nomads. Kyosho seems like a pretty good specialist for the price.


I’m glad the Sohei is not just a better Shaolin. But they are next evolution of Shaolin. Meaning they are Shaolin with better armor, BS, and Regular. Actually, pretty cool. I’m glad they don’t have smoke. The grenades are interesting and to be warry of.


Genbu seems like Sulyong and Jackboots. Instead of Immunity total like a Jackboot it’s just Immune AP. NCO on at least a special weapon, +1 damage is nice, a few specialists. Done.

 

Wow…the Yamabushi is amazing. Love this sculpt and cannot wait to see more!

 

Cool! They look like a Japanese version of a Hardcase. Especially because of the bow. But I LOVE that figure!

 

Oh, Hardcase, great idea! Now to worry how I can source a second one lol.

 

Very cool mini. Like the pose a lot. I find I much prefer at rest poses than action poses.

I don´t think sectorials will loose much. Instead maybe get something what was vanilla-only (not YJ - there is simply nothing left except maybe some mercs). In case of WB it could be that CB will shuffle reinforcments Koreans and send some to IA or ISS.

What are your thoughts on the new Domaru Takeshi "Neko" Oyama sculpt? I am a bit disappointed to say the least with this one. Not dynamic at all and and a pose that has been done to death. He could have at least had a drawn sword in his right hand held low at his side. Minimal effort sculpt imho.

 

Same here. Also looks like they let the intern paint one up again.

 

Yeah, meh. I'll keep using a regular Domaru to play it.

I prefer the new Neko over the old one. official paintjob is rough for sure, but the mini is way better.

 

Paintjob is, to say he least, questionable.... That looks like i painted it when i want to field it on a tournament in 2 days..
The Mini itself is.... well, the overall design ist not bad, the armor, the face, the hair... i like it. The pose is ...well its not bad .. but i would wish for a more dynamic one. Imho wasted potential.

 

The paintjob isn't bad, but the closeup photo doesn't help.

 

I'll keep using a shikami or the ronin from takkure to proxy Neko... not convinced at all with both old and new sculpts

I don't like the Saito Togan model (any of them, tohugh the current is better than 1st gen. in my eyes). So, I use Nakdai from Outrage as my Saito figure in DBS. I like the model, I have the model, and it is not going to be mistaken for anyhing else by my opponent.

 

i did too, to proxy Saito in Dashat or regular Oniwaban in JSA. Nakadai is a universal proxy hahaha

 

Really liking the Yamabushi mini, he’s a must get. The new Takeshi… not so much. I think I actually preferred his old sculpt over this and that one wasn’t great. This is the first miss for me from the new JSA range but I already have proxies for him so it’s not a dire affair. I look forward to the release date for the new minis! My wallet doesn’t but he can shut up.
