September>December 2024: Nuclear winter has struck, leaving room for the N5

Wow... They really took the idea of a glass cannon up to eleven... HRMC on a arm 1 Str 1 auxbot. I see, the spirit of Auxiliary is here and it came back with a vengeance.

 

They are really, really bad. They got the mildest of buffs when they were terrible. All the great N4 HIs got huge buffs for N5. Minutemen needed a much bigger buff and instead got a much smaller buff, it's effectively a nerf relative to every other faction.

 

They can now compete with Marauders. Good. 6-2 really does help.

I do not objectively disagree with that assessment. But getting T2 rifles and 6-2 movement give them a niche in USARF. They at least have a purpose now.

 

My man, my woman, my human being, my fellow toaster, my tohaa, my combined army life form, they got anything at all and I am already happy. They were terrible to the point of not being worth buying. Now they may have a niche, pending all the rest of the army.

 

Dukash looks great. He lost some stuff but what he gained is better.

Triggermen look like supposed to be TAG killers? AP and E/Marats sort of suggest it. The K1 combi really does though. I think the S4 is a mistake but you never know with CB.

I’m still going to hold out hope ISS gets another, cheaper, Doctor and Engineer. But she does look better for the points.

 

Jeez they really are handing out BS Attack -3 like candy!

These are really cool. They will take some finess to play but they can really pack a punch.

 

Glad that these compete more with Asawira. I love my doctor as a fighting specialist. I am waiting for the Frenzy rules in N5 before making definitive statements.

 

Distributors still have December releases listed for December and not for January like CB has. Excuse me for not trusting info that doesnt came directly from the source.

Also, Dec 8 is festive in Spain, but because is Sunday, holiday will be passed to the next day, so i highly doubt about N5 releasing Monday 9

 

They are really pushing out the previews today. I hope we get a lot tomorrow as well.

They don’t need a person to put up the N5. It can be a timed “push”. Meaning it’s already done and in the server and will automatically show up on the date it’s to release.

 

By the Prophet! Jannies have become AWESEOME! And super cheap. I'm kina hopefull Shang-Jis will get something nice too.

That makes me curios what skill-wonders they will work for Zhanying, Shang and other "standard" HI from nomadic factions or even the Orcs themself (they already had Griffon-Orcs).

 

HMG went down 3 pts and gets: Pulzar and BS-3 and a HP - a real bargain it looks like BS-3 is not very expensive ...

 

And having no one there just in case server goes down, not the correct version uploaded, staff answering questions, Army not working properly...

Remember what Bostria said about the N5 launch?

 

The Boarding shotgun Janny is 1pts cheaper than the current ORC BSG (vanilla not SWF/Varuna variant), but gets all the special skills, Pulzar, Heavy pistol and Tinbot in comparison. So yeah common ORC got screwed over again.
We have seen its N5 profile, the only change is -3pts, so Janny pays only 2pts extra for all the goodies.

Yeah BS-3 is strangely quite cheap, considering it is more difficult to counter than Mimetism-3. I'm really giddy about what do the other "standard" HIs will get (Brigada, Shang-Ji, Suryat, Ecrtoss).
