It is not especially well-armored, by what we've seen in N5 previews so far - ARM 4 and no Immunity ARM. It has Vita 2 and very good Regeneration (at PH=13), which certainly mkaes it more survivable.

All these things are a combination we haven't seen before, and that many people find it surprising and odd.

Hence, an odd duck...

 

I wont get holidays in my job if we have work to do. And clearly they are not working hard enough when they have to leave a month without releases and the november are not reaching the stories. Are they overwhelmed by Black Friday and Warcrow kickstarters? They planned the schedule really bad?

CB were in the business for 20 years now. People expect from them to do propper planning

 

Nice improvements for the Sophotect, but until we see N5 Parvatti we won't know how both compare.
At least, having Shock Immunity helps the Sophotect when it comed to healing herself.

 

My pre-ordered Sandtrap still not in store. Some people orderd CB direct and painted their stuff already ... (not that I would had done that). Dez - to Jan does not bother me much but all the info-bits and still wait for the rules is dissapointing. After seeing juicy, annoying, crazy, odd and other profiles I want to try out N5. If it roll out next week (Konis typed something like: Days away) we will still have to fight bugs with no support over the days ... but hey my missing part from a JSA box seems to be on the way. And CB will always to their holdiays ;-) Its just an unlucky timing for N5.

She will, but a cheaper Sopho will also see lots of play if not more. No she carrys so much stuff, that you want to see all this deployed. But Shock imm will make her more resistent.

Re Roll -3 is not very tempting. If CTs are still a thing, I would prefer this. So its only a last resort.

Too expensice for their role, if you ask me. 42 for a B2 360 sniper eats a lot of points and with all the Discoballs around it will be easy to bypass. And this guys are big. Maybe fluf reasons for their robot shadows, but should S4 not give discount`?

Most likely the s4 is a missed holdover. They likely wanted to have Guard and lost it along the way. We will see in the end result, of course.

The active profiles are nothing to write home about. They are an upper end HI prices for a middling active shooter. Okay, a decent active shooter, but 360° visor is kinda not needed on an active shooter. It allows you some cool tech in ARO, but that's about it I guess?

The Neurokinetics one though... Um! Just dellicious. If they keep s4, still, no big deal. It will be like a turret. Plop him down on the corridor of attack and watch people try and take him out. Also, if he is linkable in Tunguska... Gosh, why can't Santiago have something like this? Minus regeneration.

Yessss! The only thing ther are missing are immunity to Imm-B and we are golden. I am pleased with this. They are not perfect, but they are deffinitely better now.

 

But IMM-B is only caused by hacking and they are not hackable .

 

Sadly, no. E/M ammo causes the Imm-B state and Minutemen, compared to a lot of HI, are not in powered suits of armour. They just have layers upon layers of body armour.

 

Oh my bad, for a minute I forgot E/M is also IMM-B not IMM-A.

Yeah they are just medival knights with no 2nd Wound or any kind of BTS. Perhaps their Teseum armor locks together by the magnetism? Or its just gameplay mechanics. To be honest Minutemen should be just MI like the Grunt and Marauder (who have the exact same ARM3 BTS0 protection).

Im not against CB go on holiday. And Koni corrected and tell in fact, they are closing on 23rd. The expected and logical date. You cant close while you still have shipments to do and plent of stuff to finish. That is bad planning. And that is lazy. A word you used to define CB plenty of times. But now you are in love with what CB do. Last week, CB was a bad company and they should listen to you to get better. Now, people cant dictate what CB do internally. OK, shill.

 

Yes, they should. HI is a Blackjack. They are the same as a Grunt or Marauder, just a simple human in tactical armoured kit.

But that is besides the point. Interesting here, is they are missing a boarding shotgun option. So they are more geared towards being a shooty from afar kind of unit, compared to Marauders, who boast heavy close range weaponry. Maybe they will split them finally and completely? We shall see.
