Not new, not even out of use. This is similar to roll with advantage in D&D. I think isn´t complicated and brings something new to Infinity. That´s good.

Its like beeing a mono fireteam pure duo so yes.

 

If you have BS +1SD and are in a Duo fireteam that provides with 1 additional die, do you roll 2 extra dice and then discard two of them?
