Thank you for the massive post! Man, those minis look good. Really tempting to get the Exrah on the off chance I ever play my vanilla combined. I love the comics for fleshingnout the universe, and adding more slice of life minis. That Uahu is real fun.

 

The new Squalo looks great!

The bolts look good, but not as good as before. I wish they will keep the girls hairs and poney tails visible (if they plan on expanding). That gave them a lot of personality

 

The only one I don't like almost at 100% is the Hatae. That pose...maaaan he'snot a CC specialist please, don't abuse more of that sword bearer pose. He has an HMG sploit it XD.

Look at the EXO, What is that? That's the paraweapon? I understand know why it impose a -6 mod to enemies XD

 

Well, looks like I'll have some Exrach to choose from a stand-in for a Samsa I'd need for my NA2.

Because waiting a year till CB release a general issue one certainly doesn't sound like fun.
And whatever Exrach I put to table with my NA2, can only be a Samsa anyway :P

 

Perfect timing, just as I was converting up a Deva and her bot to use as Scylla...

But it's a nice sculpt, she looks the part.

 

Funny that the Devabot render is in there, since it's not new. It's the exact same one as in the Raptor box:

 

Devabots are devabots in both armies. Actually, it is good at my taste. Using O-12 miniatures fits well Aleph in weapon style. Plus I like this robots. (I would gladly have some kind of dakini companion irl. Synthetic human? No, give me lovely robot)

 

Why would it lower the price of the pack?

This said, I believe that units which pop up in multiple armies should be in a blister of their own, to optimize the convenience for the players. For example the way they did it with McMurrough, monstruckers, longarms...

 

Good question.
I can saw for sure, that it is less money for a new form for miniature.
But when it is about packing and prices for cover for all of that... I can only guess.

For us it could be not better to have a blister. For example a box of 3 miniatures is one price in our shop, and plister sometime is like a half or that with only one miniature (all of them are usual s2)

 

And keep in mind the ongoing catalog size problem, aka SKU bloat. Four miniature blisters are 3 more positions on the catalog than a single 4-model box.

Not that CB are especially effective in fighting the problem, to be honest...

 

This box has a strange composition. It would be so much better to repeat the old box with resculpted minis. We get Scylla hacker with one bot and Alke. I understand, they can now form a fireteam in their FTO version.

Edith: Okay its an expansiön box, not a fireteam box, so the minis are able to join a FT but can not build one of their own.

Also: Option with two bots is gone, maybe during fireteam update rules.

I also wonder how Drakois will be released, we still not see new Teucer and we have two Makhe and two Hoplite loadouts left.

Okay: Scylla looks nice and the design of the boarding shotgun changed again (we have three now? First one looks close to the combi, second looks big like an HMG (Shukar and Garudas looks way more big than the tiny HMG from Yadu and Thorikates). But overall she looks good. Alke looks small and thin, but this could be the perspective of the picture from the projector. But her mane looks tamed in comparsion to the artwork form the Interplanetario. The bot is okay and yes like the new Yudbot, O-12 got them first.

 

It's the existing Aleph/O-12 boarding shotgun with a Pitcher attached to the underbarrel rail.

Also not sure why you don't think we'll get a mini for Teucer.

 

I'm pretty sure the idea is that Drakios will come in one of the next packs, bringing a second devabot with him.
