    Lord Alistair "Fluffy" McElliot

    Age: 28
Height: 6 feet (2m) in dog face form, 9 feet in dog warrior form (3m)
    Eyes: Blue in both forms
Hair color: Coppery blonde in human form, Beige in dog warrior

Alistair was born to essentially best life a Dog Face could hope for, that being a first son of a Dog Ball superstar, Robert "The Knight" McGregor and at the same time, being technically a scion to a long line of finest soldiers, tradition being broken only by Alistairs father. Thus most of his life young pup grew believing himself to be destined to follow the steps of imposing defender, know to wipe smirks of many promising quarterbacks faces. That was until young Alistair learned who was his grandfather (Youth event: Discovered a secret). Young Caledonian was simply shocked that there is a blood of Mormaers in his veins when finally estranged grandfather arrived at the doorstep, looking to reunite with his only son after years of feeling shamed of a dog face. Reunion was at first tense, but Alistair couldn't help but simply be enamored with almost regal soldier and the way he spoke of his victories. That day, young man made a choice.

Alistair quickly set out to spent as much time as he could with his grandparents, looking to learn the craft of a soldier and a warrior before enlisting into military academy, hoping to once more restore proud martial tradition to the family (Military education) Still as it was expected for a Dog Face, after training McGregor was attached to Cameronian regiment, there he suffered a nasty wound during "encouragement" session, a badly healed broken rib, that still acts up during drastic weather change. (Event: Nagging injury). Despite little to no respect and low expectations, young Scott served with distinction and discipline considered to be unmatched by his peers. That earned him commendation to further units.

Alistair was given a chance to apply for prestigious ranks of Scot's Guard and took the opportunity in a heartbeat. There he found his skills put to a test by finest instructors, his already formidable body pushed to the limit, but McGregor would not back down and was given a spot within Second Battalion along with rank of Sargent. There he learned not only how to use his anger, but how to truly use his instincts to not only act as berserk, but also, as a hunter. There even, Dog warrior was given a chance to visit Paradiso as part of O-12 commissioner task force.

On Paradiso he as always, looked to restore the lost family honor and be exemplar. His gruff no nonsense attitude earned him a nickname of "Fluffy" among comrades, whom often teased Alistair about being tense. Still, over the course of mission, despite many sucesses, task force found itself lured into combined army trap. After bloody fight against combinet force of vicious morats and their carnivorous hungries, losing most of his companions it Lord McGregor tasted a bitter taste of being forced to retreat. There, Alistair attempted to toss back a grenade that landed right next to both commissioner and his wounded teammates leading to his side being badly scarred and lost of his left hand (Event: Survived a tragedy, Trait: Nightmares)

Back home, Alistair found himself given medals commendations and actually earning respect of his clan, even grandfather that finally fully accepted that despite being tainted with antipode genes, dog faces were very much his heirs. Much to his grief, Alistair was given the family claymore, a blade forged from teseum that now crippled warrior, would likely have no chance to bear (Career Event: Will of Relative). Especially as he found himself honorably discharged.

Lord McGregor refused to simply slide down and become a retired before becoming thirty years old. While not lacking money, his family was mostly bound to Dawn. Still thanks to old connections Alistair was brought to contact with Duke Greywulf. Here, veteran and quite a talented soldier offered his services for a chance to be able to fight again, while punishing teseum thieves seemed only a fitting task. Once grafted with a high class cybernetic arm, Ex Scots Guard quickly did his best to pay off the massive debt he had.

I think that should sum him up nicely.
Here is a link with a neat little graphic ref for those that do enjoy that.: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/67/97/dd/6797dd5a820def4ef854862db6407ae3.jpg

    Edit:
    Character Sheet:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/e7kexyjgwx2aheg/AlistairMcElliot.pdf?dl=0

    Goals:

Short term: Enjoy the company of soldiers once more, preferably the more enticing part of the crew, test himself against other members of company, now that he has arm once more.
Medium Term: Pay off his debt to Duke Greywulf, make sure to regain reputation of unparalleled soldier and warrior
Long Term: Find a good girl from a good Caledonian family, if needed learn how to deal with wulver infertility, settle down and tell all the great stories of his victories.

Thanks for the share, those of us who enjoy that really apreciate it!

Which reminds me, I have to finish my character sketch.

Loading the Character Sheet should make it easier for the GM to check them out.

Hehe, well in my defense, I had to research Pyromania outside the realm of childhood curiosity and it's knida dark, unless it's a sexual deviance, then it's really dark.

Well here it is. Way too long, I'm sorry. Feel free to skim.

Sam White current callsign "Caballus" previous callsign "Mustang Sam"

They got to pick my new callsign. Taunting me.

Born on Dawn, USAriadna, Kennedy, to an upper class family.

Sam grew up just outside of a major city, his early life spent only with his family and neighbours. As a child he grew fast friends with Maggie, a Dogface born to a disappointed that lived nearby. However Sam's family did not mind this relationship having worked peacefully with antipode tribes in their business. As he grew he became socially strange spending most of his time away from other people so they decided to send him to a public school in the city.

His lack of social development and close friendship with Maggie left him a young outcast as he entered society His family, proud and honorable Jacksons, refused to let him abandon his friend, even if she os a Dogface. [youth event: succumbed to social exclusion]

Maggie. The first and last woman I ever loved. Haven't seen her since the first time the American Ariadnan Dawn Defenders got broken up. I wonder if she's alive.

Unsurprisingly Sam did poorly is his education, the goal of helping him socially develop failed. He was entered in military school to give him a life as an adult. Instead, under the influance of Maggie, he used the skills he was taught in a local gang. Both Sam and Maggie loved their world, they were just rejected by it. So they were easily seduced when a private organization claiming to defend Dawn (called the American Ariadnan Dawn Defenders) against the recent interplanetary powers. His life in a gang (who largely joined the AADD) Sam left his school and family to enlist as a teenage freedom fighter. [adolesent event: rebelled against the system]

We all believed in it. So many honorable people. When did we go wrong.

Working as a technician and soldier Sam spent his late teens fighting against the powers exploiting Dawn when the Ariadnan governments were legally powerless to do so. They were largely tolerated by the USAriadnan government like Hardcases or Desperados are; helpful but unofficial. But a finger was pointed at the AADD during negotiations. Sam and his friends needed to lay low, officially ending their military actions but keeping contact. [career event: gain criminal record]

Those were the days. Sometimes I wish they were my last. Usually.

Sam reconnected with his family and bought a budget Yu Jing produced TAG Sam named Piker. Having experience in both TAG maintenance and professional violence he began work as a mercenary TAG pilot. Without the resources or permission to fight the hyperpowers he took whatever work he could. He finally got a geist at the behest of his family (grateful to have him back) to help him with the many tasks, both interpersonal and financal, that he had never developed skills for. The geist Sam named Judas created a cowboy persona to help him find work, and help him it did. Over the next few years Sam successfully, if not happily, kept himself solvent. However losing all of his friends and living his marketing left him alienated.

Then suddenly, a new breath of life. Sam got the call. Maggie nowhere to be found. The AADD rapidly reformed with massivley more resources. Sam was relieved to return and did not question the circumstances. They were reformed for a reason. A plan. They were going to deal a major blow to PanO power on Dawn. While the AADD did not have the power. The Ariadnan forces easily could but they were being held back by law, unable to act. The plan was simple, a false flag to force PanO to pull out or face repercussion from O12. Sam knew there would be collateral damage, there always is. This time the goal was collateral damage. He knew. He just couldn't comprehend.

The plan worked. But Ariadna couldn't let it happen again. They hunted down the members of the AADD and dealt with them appropriately. Many low ranking members, including Sam, were quietly psychologically cleared to bolster Ariadnan forces. They couldn't pass up combat experience against the Hyperpowers.
Sam's experience did not fit in with Ariadnan forces, so he was 'loaned' to the TAG heavy Minotaurs. But make no mistake, he is owned by Ariadna. [Career event: taken in for questioning. Trait: on a watchlist]

Looking at your background it makes sense to me for you to add a ‘Military’, ‘Technician’, or ‘Frontiersman’ career prior to the TAG pilot, but without adding to your age. You're first career sounds like you started it when you were ~15 so you probably finished it by the time you were 18 and started your first proper career? But your second feels like it has 2 distinct phases: prior to AADD reforming (during which time you acquired the TAG, and after (so you could easily split that time in half as 2 careers).

Careers are where the skills are. And the Military or Frontiersman or Technician (with Hacking swapped for Survival perhaps?)career fits your ‘bouncing around odds jobs’ that you described, particularly with the ‘Your Lucky Day!’ Event to explain how you got your TAG.

    @loricus . . .

Excellent background, both well written and full of interesting plot-hook. . .

Just as a potentially useful sidenote, what do You want to have for the rest of the A.A.D.D. surviving membership. . .??

Is Sam the ONLY one that is not forced into a Frontier Border Stanitsa cultiving Dawn-Turnips or there could be others engaged in borderline useful activities as potential Contacts. . .??

Or even directly IMPORTED into the Minotaurs' Ranks; the Mercenary Crew seems to be an "Ideal Kitchen Sink" for all manner of malcontent misfits that could NOT fit anywhere else. . .??

The history of Maggie the Dogface Lady is interesting and compelling; the Minotaurs have the resources to locate Her if actually alive, and ALSO make a Recruiting Proposal unparalleled anywhere else on Dawn. . .

Should She be located and inducted the possibility of entering (and sustaining) a steady, reliable relationship with the Dogwarrior will be quite high; not only the Minotaurs Leadership is VERY PRO Human-Dogface friendly integration but they are ACTIVELY working with Bakunin Biotechs, Haqqislamite Genengineers and a couple of Tohaa "Renegades" to REVERSE the Sterility of the Human+Dogface Offsprings, the Wulvers (one of the reason why MANY Dogwarrior & Wulvers are part of the Shocktrooper Squads, some are there NOT for Money OR for Nationalistic Pride, but to simply have the HOPE of a fertile descendance !!!). . .

I believe You ditched the "Cybernetic Arm" idea to have Your Character as to have it not so equal to Overwatch's McCree; a pity because would have been an easy source of "Pilot Light Enhancements" but the Character MUST be what is the best entertaining and amusing to Roleplay for You. . .!!

As a comparison the Mechanic-Pilot of @inane.imp worked some "Extra Perks" into the Plasma-Burning Background and a Personalized Geist to have a "Perfect Synchronization" with the "Virtual Assistant" and the T.A.G. Piloting Software, around with is done the nebulous concept of "Enhanced Neural System" that I'm still working on. . .

Comparatively in @Danger Rose "Firebug Catgirl" have been invested far more "Life Point / Starting Assets" to have a well-rounded "Chimera Lite" with all manners of In-Character enhancements. . .

If You aren't so keen in "Sci-Fi Implants" there is still the option employed potentially by @Golem2God "Morat Shaolin Monk" to have JUST rigorous DAILY training and a steady kept regimen of self-regulation to empower further the "Innate Skill" of a Veteran (it is JUST a Refluff Name to "Reskin" some useful "Extra Perks"). . . . .

I'm trying to properly balance the "Bonus of a Player Character" in TWO distinct ways:

1°) Personal HUMAN-SIZED Perks such as implanted Cybernetics / Biotech / Unobtanium Whatever OR very cherished Personal Items of "Extra Quality"; those could be DEACTIVATED somehow if not be so easy to take away froma a captured P.C. but will NEVER be lost !!

2°) GEAR-SIZED Perks; rather than simple "Portable Carry" equipement (such as Persoanlized Guns or Quality Tools) it will be very important "Vehicular Options" for the Players; obviously the Three T.A.G.s for the Three Pilots, but the other have also some custom "Offroad Heavy Bikes" (the one of @oldGregg perticularly enhanced, as befitting a Kum Veteran) and hyperspecialized "Artifact Signature Weapons" for @Golem2God (Morat "Kung Fu Modular Polearm") and @Beodren (Dogwarrior sized Caledonian Clan Family Heirloom Claymore). . .

Let Me know what are Your character preferences about all of this. . . . . .???

Thanks! As far as making the character stronger I'd have no trouble writing it in as an event, part of existing events, writing it off as plot armor, etc. Just need to know roughly how much to add (e.g. one career's worth).
@inane.imp I currently have tech then TAG pilot for my careers, I could treat one as 'extended' or look for something to represent my life as a freedom fighter (pre terrorist days), possibly giving me some thievery skill.

The reforming and criminal activity I was thinking of happen over just a few months with only a handful of light missions. I kind of want to imply there was a sinister unknown involved to add yet another related twist/person/organization, explaining why they went from cooperative to... you know.

@stevenart74 As far as characters go, like the other survivors of the A.A.D.D. (which I will continue to spell AADD to simplify phone typing, it is correct with periods) as well as any organizations themselves I wrote it to give you the power to include my character's connections in to your plot however you want.

I'm a big fan of the Fate system where players set up plot points on their characters and give power over to the GM to make players feel connected to the world rather than grafted on.

However if you don't feel inspired to include my past in the current story that's fine, the last events probably happened under a year ago so I can go an extended period without it coming up again. So don't feel obligated.

One exception is the character Maggie who I have some expectations for.

First, I will not roleplay romance, the furthest I would ever go is "I have a wife back home" type of backround. Additionally Sam is socially stunted, having learned to act normal as a merc pilot he still has trouble with genuine emotion, so unless something changes he would be incapable.

Second, I can't have a happy ending situation with her. For example having her join as a resident ally. An ally that helps for brief and specific things, or possibly someone regretfully working against us, would be fine. Not coming up at all or even finding out she died (it can always turn out to be false if we want to) is also fine. I can't have that resolved unless I want to retire the character. He must suffer at least as much as us irl, preferably more!

One more bit I should have mentioned, he is apathetic to being basically owned by Ariadna and pressed in to service. He always had sociopathic behavior if that wasn't obvious, but not so dramatically that he isn't scarred from his terroristic actions. And he never hated Ariadna. Perhaps he sees it as a punishment, or purgatory until he gets the punishment he deserves.

I think I'd like some sort of "unpayable debt" type of thing, where Ariadna confiscates his pay and equipment/life expenses are out of his control. But that could be a bother so we could skip it.

Criminal could work as your first 'teenage' career: it specifically mentions ecoterrorists and similar people in it's blurb. You'd be -1 Wil, +1 AWA; but it might also change what you can have as your 3rd signature skill. So Criminal - Technician - TAG Pilot as you get straight and get lucky.

I almost suggested that would allow you to make Observation a signature skill. But the image of creepy kid staring at people as they go by, made me shudder...

Also, Tony has worse PERs than you. 8 is positively average. Grouchy + jaded + heavily scarred makes Tony a dull boy.

I have write-ups on all key members of the Ayyūbidiyun if you would like me to post them. The biker gang is just a small subsidiary of the Ayyūbidiyun, as they are a fully fledged military contractor that I have been designing since I began playing infinity. They, in turn, are actually on the payroll of another family at the moment, who is deeply involved in a bitter conflict with a PanOceanian contractor. The most recent confrontations have actually taken place on Dawn. (And strangely enough, that was in preparation for the upcoming BoW campaign, having no idea I would get involved with this rpg).

Anyways, let me know if you’d like details! I can get them posted tonight.

@inane.imp Observation is a signature skill right now :upside_down_face:

Sam is socially stunted but learned to act pretty well under the guidance of his geist. Being personable helps to get jobs.

I went with 'being really fucking good helps to get jobs' :P

But seriously, repeating the same career 4 times is a touch absurd for maxing out skills. Tony is TN16/2 for a Pilot test, +1 momentum, -1 Difficulty (to a min of D1) and a re-roll. Even Daunting (D3) Pilot tests are more likely to generate Momentum than consume it.

Mainly I'm bored (I've been at a little bit of a loose end this week), so I've been crunching the numbers.

I do like what you did with the Vizier geist as a 'psychological support tool', it's a very sci-fi solution; and fits neatly with rich parents trying to 'fix' their kid they don't quite understand.

    @loricus. . .

Pretty bleak background for Your character, but if it is more satysfying for You to roleplay then go with it. . .!!

As You don't NEED Maggie nor other "Old Pals" of the A.A.D.D. as strictly "Potential Allies" then I will employ them as "Shady Contacts", "Plot Hook Generators" and even occasional adversaries (after all You cannot easily smuggle Teseum OUTSIDE Dawn if You have not some "Traitor Ariadnans", cynic / desperate Opportunists as opposed to the "Loyalists" that make up the Majority of the "Local Minotaurs" !!). . .

I will NOT put Maggie directly working with the "Main Evil Boss" of the Campaign (the Criminal A.I. Svengali, that is targetting Dawn for motives that You'll eventually discover as the Game progress !!) or other unsavory "Teseum Pirates" (Irmandhinos ! Cateran Bandits ! Ninja Bikers !! Pan-O Corpsec !! Yujing Triad Cartels !! Unsavory Mercs such as Yuan-Yuan / Druzes / Kaplans !!! Weird Alien Stuff !!!). . .

But You can rest assured that some "Dark Rumors" about a ferocious Dogwarrior Lady involved in shady activities FAR AWAY from New Knossos Island will be popping soon on the Arachne Servers of the Mercs Outfit. . .

YOU will decide IF and WHEN investigate these rumors and HOW reacting to hints / suspects / sinister Plot Hooks of a Devious G.M. :imp:

Same with other "Old Pals" of the A.A.D.D. but that will have even LESS "Plot Armour". . .

For the rest I believe that we are good with many of the other issues of the P.C.

    @oldGregg . . .

Go on and describe in how many detaidls what You want of these "Bourak Fremen" made of Hunzakuts / Touaregs / Kums; I give You free rein and "Carte Blanche" to describe how they are doing in the Haqqislamite Homeland, while there on Planet Dawn something about the weird "Gangs Marriage" between the Kum Bikers of Layla Bey and the "Sons-Of-Anarchy" of King Mynos are yet deeply "Carved" in the General Plot. . .

Have You decided what to do of the "Fremen Kindjal Dagger" of Your Character; do You want some kind of "Hashashin Viral / Toxic Blade" that is dripping Caustic Venom (a Techno-Organic enhancement of some big Megafauna Monster Relic) or perhaps is better a slender, curved version of the "Teseum Chopper" that is % Pure Alloy to be ALMOST Indestructible. . .??

For tactical reasons it will anyway better to be have it rather large and tough as a "Short Sword Gladius / Xyphos" UNLESS You want something smaller and that could be concealed better and even thrown with precision at close ranges. . .!!

    @inane.imp . . .

I will be more akin to think is better balanced to have ANY Character to be more-or-less "On The Same Level" in regard of Experience, Skills and Talents, so to better give Me "Room" to add "Extra Perks" without unbalancing too much. . .

This will NOT means to "Depower" Your Veteran Character of 4+ Careers, but RATHER to bring anyone to a comparable level of Expertise and Competence (even "Youngish" Character have been "Forged In Adversity" !!). . . . .

On a side note, I was looking at the Candy Cloud Dire Foes (I love collecting HVTs) and remembered that I needed a box set of Druzes (because I'm making a Druze Bayram force and the minis grew on me) and I may have "accidentally" added a Gecko Squad to my cart.

So if you don't hear from me again, it was my wife, in the studio, with a lead pipe.

    @Danger Rose

That Lead Pipe is a nasty weapon; that makes You the "Colonel Mustard" and Your Wife as "Miss Scarlet". . .??

Maybe we could do a "Cluedo" version with Infinity Background, perhaps set in a O12 Orbital Garrison where the "Wilderness Of Mirrors" infinity-level nastyness cause formerly allied Agents to search for a culprits between them. . . . .

"It was the Aquila Guard with a Spitfire in the Quantum Relay Comm-Station !", "No, it was the Pheasant Agent in the Hydroponic Vats with a Red Fury !!", "Nah, You are BOTH Wrong ! Was the Azrail with a Feuerbach in the Drone Cargo Storage Bay !!!" (without anyone realizing that the "Old Trusty Butler" and "Fair, Young French Maid" are a Speculo Killer and a Hashashin Fiday that are chasing each other clumsily, leaving a corpse trail in their wake of "Trials-&-Errors"). . .

    . . . . .

Seriously, I have searched the Stats (Official Rules and Modiphius-approved Homebrews) a little for a sort of "Hand Flamer" Incendiary Pistol like the one depicted in the Cover of the U.S.Ariadnan Army Boxed Set (wield by a Maverick Soldier or a Minuteman, I believe), but did not found anything; perhaps the drawing is an "Artistic License" of the Light Flamethrower or a "Rule Twist" (for an example, in the Basic Manual that I own there are MANY citations of "Submachineguns" but NO STATS provided; I had to homebrew with Enlarged Assault Pistol and a "Weird Hi-Tech Gun" of a Named Character in the Adversaries Section). . .

For any kind of unclear Incendiary Gun that You want to employ is best to improvise with "Flame Ammunition" (the "Dragonsbreath" White-Phosporous Slugs that yet exists in our Real World) for Shotguns of any flavours ("Hand Flamer" may be Sawed-Off "Gong" Light Shotguns or a M203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher in "Pistol Configuration", while "Rifle Versions" will be Boarding Shotguns and Riot Grenade Launcher). . .

Also there is some sort of "Concept Confusion" for some Official Infinity Weapons; is a "Vulkan Shotgun" nothing more that a weird "Double Barrelled Full-Auto Shotgun" with Incendiary Ammunition; does charging with W.P. Slugs an Heavy Shotgun transform it into an Heavy Flamethrower or it is better to employ "Flame Ammo" rules for a Heavy Grenade Launcher. . .??

    . . . . .

In any case, should Your Character want some "Underbarrell-Mounted Flamer" for any kind of Rifle-sized Gun, there is yet the possibility / precedent of the Naffatun Combi between a Bull-Pup Assault Rifle and a Small Flamethrower. . .

But the "Secondary Underbarrell" kind of Combi-Guns of the Minotaurs are rather "Modular" so it will be NO MORE difficult as Tech Levels go than putting a "Masterkey" Cal.12 / .00 Sawed-Off Shotgun or an M203 40mm. U.G.L. under any kind of "Primary Weapon" that Your Player Character will be wanting to employ. . .

Also for the specifics of the Pyromaniac Character then I'm thinking that some little deviation from the Rules of "Improvising Explosive Ordnance" could be tweaked enough to have You improvise "Scrap Flamers" with all manners of everyday stuff (such as the "Old Trick" of the Zippo + Hairspray for a small, but potentially lethal "Mini-Flamethrower"). . .

I specifically don't remember if T.A.G. Fuel in Infinity is considered usually "Handwavium Energy Pack Batteries" but the Game is set in Ariadna and I DECIDE (as Game-Master and "God-Writer" of the Campaign) that EVERY Land Vehicle, Flying Craft, Heavy Industrial Drone and tactical Armoured Gear employ a form of "Supercompressed Jellied Gasoline" with very High Octane. . .

A Drum-Barrell of this Fuel could be improvised to be employed as "F.A.E. Napalm Bombs" but USUALLY does NOT explode if merely shooted with Gun Projectiles (even "Coloured Tracer Bullets" !!) that are NOT specific Incendiary (such as the A.P.I. "Armor-Piercing-Incendiary" that are, in our R.W., employed with .30 and .50 Heavy Machineguns) . . . . .!!!
