@Schrat Your PanO forces make me want to redo & touch up my own. I see alot of things in your work that made me realize how I could do a better job with mine.
Also your Morats look nice as well. Are you going to get into the the sectorial or going the Vanilla route?

Thanks ! Happy to provide some motivation. I used a very simple method, apply base colours, make recesses darker and highlight with heavy diluted white.
My Morat will be played as sectorial, maybe sometime expanding into onyx since I own some shasvastii as well.

Thanks, next will be Yu Jing from red veil in a grey paint scheme. I will show a test model and would be grateful for feedback.

Here is a test for the colour I want to use. What do you think ?

next step will be to seal the mini with gloss varnish and then apply a black wash, I want to try a faster method as with my PanO. Any tips for this step ?

I might change the Weapon colour to black, or any other suggestion ?

edit: one step further, pretty much what the scheme will look like

mhm for me its not colorful enough. first look i thought "ok he primed grey and re resculpted some areas with green stuff....wait a minutes, thats painted?".

Would make at least some panels of the armour colorful or do some color markings on them.

The grey is not that bad, but i would push the contrasts if you want a metal look. Lower areas darker and light areas more white. You can create freaky metal effects with simple grey scale.

I will add some unit markings on the shoulder plates in jade/yellow and do some highlighting on the green vest, it really looks a bit plain. For the next one I wil try to increase the contrast of the grey but I dont want a shiny metal look. Thanks for the feedback guys !

Finally some progress, I tried to achieve a higher contrast like you suggested. And added some unit badges on the shoulders. The Daofei looks much better from behind than from the front, gladly he is facing away from me most of the time while playing :D

Now I think about adding some yellow to the other miniatures as well, maybe a yellow line on the green trousers. I really like the extra bit of colour. Any suggestions ?

Here is the final update for Yu Jing, finished the Red Veil box.

The Big white spots on the legs of the Daofei are actually neon green, but I suck at taking photos

I added some yellow markings and insignias and I like it much more now. Thank you for the feedback, it helped a lot !

Very nice and clean paintjob, I like them very much. With the YJ forces, the bases are a nice addition to the overall paint scheme.
For me, the pano bases distracted me a little bit too much, especially on the REMs, cause the base to model proportions are bigger.
Anyway, beautiful work on all the models.
