A clear signifier of their postion in a hierarchical class based society! Equestrian can also refer to a social rank in Roman/Medieval society.
...Horses. CB needs to finally add some horsey models so that we can attract more Bronies to the hobby.
As @psychoticstorm said, that's because the order was originally recruited from the Equites, that class of Romans who had enough land to raise and own horses. Don't feel bad, I didn't know that until about a month ago, either. And I still think that the Teutons should have gotten the motorcycle while the Montessas kept Mech Deploy. For the Sepulchre Knights, I think I'd want them to have some leadership skills. Probably not Inspiring Leadership, but LT2, NCO, Tactical Sense, something like that. Maybe even Strategos L1 or L2 and/or Advanced Command.
I was thinking that Father-Knight would be the best platform for Command&Control unit, but Sepulchre would certainly work as well. All the changes make me wonder if/how F-K will change, too.
it would be interesting if one of the knights got infiltration or another deployment skill to put them in their preferred spitfire range bands
I would have loved the current montesa stats on the old profile, but lack of stealth and no boarding shotgun on somebody that started in the middle of the board was kinda silly. I rarely took the montesa then, because it was easy to drop a hacker next to him and shut him down, even if I knew the hacker was there.
I was actually thinking about Chain of Command on the Father-Knight. Spendy rule, but it feels right letting the Chaplain lead after the assigned mission leader goes down.
I've seen excellent Ariadna biker conversions to riding horses, think they were on the old forum though. Maybe fb
Spoiler: Also, here: http://www.lead-rising.com/2017/02/operation-cowboy.html http://www.lead-rising.com/2017/02/operation-cowboy-part-2.html http://www.lead-rising.com/2017/03/operation-cowboy-part-3.html
Too bad that horses for Ariadna just don't meet the fluff - I mean, do you thiink they had horses on board when the destination was so uncertain? Rather not. So there is only one solution for the poor Ariadnans: They got to ride on antipodes! (A bit like zondnautica?)
