The FAQ had gotten very unwieldy, and I'm extremely happy to see the current state of the rules consolidated in the new Rules 2.0. This is a major step forward for the game. The new Rules also include some improved wording, and incorporation of old rulings that never made it into the FAQ and were heretofore buried in obscure forum threads (e.g. that smoke can't be thrown in ARO without LoF to the active trooper), all of which is very welcome. The document certainly doesn't resolve all outstanding rules issues, and I'm sure we'll see plenty of online discussion of the issues that remain. But I think it's worth stating that it's an excellent document and a vast improvement to the rules.
I do like the new document. Specially that it is not a consolidation of previous FAQ into a single document, which it is nice, but also adding new altogether rules (bioinmunity and minelayers new rules for example). The whole blue outline to be able to detect the changes was also amazing. And will look forward to further improvements.
I really like the 2.0 version of the rules as well. Does anyone know if there will be a printed version?
Thanks, I like the "Living Rulebook" idea, but I like to have an actual physical copy. I'll check into what it would cost to have it printed up for me.
If you use an 'online printing service' like those that we have in my city, it tends to be pretty cheap. An A5 format with proper bindings and nice plastic covers costed me 10 euros. And looks and feels lovely.
