Is it intentional that the Active Albedo state is mentioned/described in the Albedo equipment on p. 118, but the entry isn't followed by a normal "state" rules box like the rest of the game states, and it's not in the Game States reference on p. 153 either?

The icon for cube is nowhere explained. It should be either on page 17 or page 118.

    P. 144, the Domination scenario rules, under Specialist Troops the second paragraph ends mid-sentence. (Other scenarios seem to have the same sentence, so we at least know what it's supposed to read.)

P21 Each time the Active Player activates a Trooper by spending an Order, each eligible
enemy gets one single ARO, regardless of the number of Skills the Active Player declares
    during that Order.
AROs must choose one of the Troopers activated by the Order as their target.

Impetouos is not an Order (pages 19), just automatic skill (p101).

I'd say that it's comparable to the various times that a rule describes an anonymous skill to do something like re-enter a marker state.

And, honestly, looking at the way that Active Albedo is defined in the skill, I don't think it's actually defining a state. That skill would probably have been better written as:

    • While this skill is being used, the trooper is considered to be inside a White Noise Zone, applying the Effects of this Special Terrain Zone. However, the Effects of the White Noise Zone don't affect the user.
    • The use of this skill has a specific, fixed duration:
      • When the Trooper is deployed, an Albedo-A Token is placed next to it to indicate that they are equipped with Albedo.
      • During the States Phase, the Albedo-A Token is removed and replaced with an Albedo-B Token.
      • Lastly, in the next States Phase, the Albedo-B Token is removed and the Trooper may no longer use Albedo for the rest of the game.
Especially with the NFB on the skill, that appears to be what it's supposed to do. You're forced to use the skill when you deploy, it lasts for two states phases, then it's done; and while it lasts everyone else treats you as being in a White Noise Zone.

Baggage is missing a period before the last sentence.

► If an Allied Trooper is in Unloaded State (or has expended any uses of their Disposable pieces of Equipment or weapons) and is in Zone of Control of a Trooper in a non-Null state and possessing Baggage, the Allied Trooper can spend an Entire Order. The Allied Trooper, without requiring a Roll, will cancel their Unloaded State and regain all expended uses of all their Disposable weapons or pieces of Equipment This effect may only be applied to one Allied Trooper per Order.

As IJW has mentioned several times by now; that interpretation also means you're not able to declare any skills.

How so? This automatic skill says you can declare a list of things in a phase of the turn (p101). And the phase itself reiterates that (p23).

Anyway, it needs a fix. Probably just replacing "Order" with "activation" in ARO text. After checking it does not cause bugs in other places. Or make Impetuous an Order as in N3, as it walks like a duck, errr, Order. Irregular is an order with resctrictions after all.

The part in the rules where you declare and then execute what you’ve declared is the “order expenditure sequence”. If you’re nit spending and order, declaring stuff is just talk. :)

Unless a person is willing to accept that “activate without spending an order” is saying that you activate as if you were spending an order (so you declare and execute as normal, including ARO’s) but the order cost is waived and instead a token is discarded. But some people keep trying to be silly.

Should "Guard" have the CC Attack tag? The fluff description calls it a CC Special Skill, but the rulebook doesn't apply the Tag the same way it does for Berserk/Martial Arts/NBW.

EDIT - spied this was already raised, but the response given was in relation to NBW effects not being relevant rather than whether the tag should/shouldn't be there

Do you mean 'CC Special Skill'?

Yes, sorry. I used the correct term in the second sentence, just not the first...

EDIT - I understand it probably doesn't mean anything specifically - just feels odd to call it "CC Special Skill" in the fluff text but not tag as such in the ordinary rules manner.

Sure, now try to resolve any of those skills that you just “declared”. You’ll notice those rules are all in the Order Expenditure sequence and the claim is you haven’t an order.

So either your declarations are pointless, or you follow the order expenditure sequence (resolving movement, generating AROs, and resolving skills). And then pay the dead joke fee, the next time anyone mentions it.

Yeah, no need to repeat that the thing is bugged one way or another, and something needs a fix.

    Hi!
Berserk has a CC special skill Label. The "effect" says that this skill is a Move + CC Attack
Isn't that enough to use it in a Enaged state or Silhouette contact?

"Impetuous Phase" appears to be a Label on the Impetuous Skill, but it doesn't appear in the Labels list of the rulebook. Is that an oversight?

Also, the list of Labels in the rulebook includes several that aren't used at all, as far as I can tell. I assume they're included as future-proofing, but the list of unused Labels is: Attack Tactic, CC Attack, Hackable, Hostile, Support Tactic.

Hackable is apparently both a Characteristic (p. 17) and a Label (p. 152), which seems confusing.

Hostile also appears on the list of Alignments (p. 151), so it's both an Alignment and a Label?

Should be. But given that it’s over a month since the previous post on the tangent (it’s a rules question in a thread about issues with the rulebook), this should fall under the “Create or find a more relevant thread” rule.

Wait is this the CUBE symbol?
    Screen Shot 2020-11-30 at 12.02.19 PM.png
As a new player just getting into N4, here I was thinking that essentially nobody had Cube because I didn't see it in any equipment lists, and you're right... its not shown anywhere in the rulebook. Also this brings up the fact that Cube is missing from the printed output of the army builder.

Yup. It's in the rules. Never repeated anywhere, but the rules do show the two Cube icons and mention that it means the trooper has a Cube. Unfortunate that it doesn't show in print-out, though, because that is somewhat valuable info
