That would be a horrific waste of orders on a sub par combat unit.

I thought it was a chaos daemon. It made sense since Bakunin has this sisters of battle feel, why not sprinkle it with some chaos vibes?

It's Bob. From PanO accounting. After a relaxing treatment on a Praxi.

Heavy body modification on Bakunin? That's not even so heavy....

I keep hearing "Nomads get everything!!" everyone gets everything in different amounts in infinity. Even Pan-0 has one unit with eclipse smoke. Now nomads have one unit with a lieutenant skill who is hackable with a very shootable butt. I think its fine. I'm still bringing a moderator lieutenant most of the time because Its funny when she tasers the speculo.

I removed the latest altercation, I would suggest that if a case is to be made against what a poster has to say, and not against the poster, it should be made with some effort and be respectful.

    Thanks.

    You are joking right?

PanO has 1 profile with a Eclipse grenade launcher on a unit with 10 BS, meaning it has 50% chance at best to land the grenade.

PanO has an order generation trouble by design. I don’t think a lot sane PanO players will risk spending statistically 2 orders, potentially more, from their small order pool to land one grenade…

Depends on the situation I would guess, but even then I am not sure the effectiveness of the PanO unit with eclipse smoke matters in that context.

It's glued to a BS15 Spitfire. Pretty much the only situation the Guarda would use its smoke is to cover a Specialist moving into an Objective Room from templates, in pretty much every other scenario it's easier and more effective to shoot.

The context of the poster, as I see it, argue if it is correct or wrong, is not that PanO has it and it is useful, is that PanO has it, and that is a "bigger Taboo".

I understand your point, and OP one. But imho to a certain extent, the unit that « breaks the factions philosophy » needs to be relevant.

I believe with a 12 points per order, the Demonist brings some value: powerful shotgun, decoy, guard.

Not an obvious pick, but definitely able to sort herself out of tricky situation. And if not used at all, she still brings 3 orders, and can be considered as 3x 12pts cheerleader. Even if not OP, she has a reason to be used.

Oppositely, I don’t think we can say the same about the Guarda de assalto auxbot. Hence it doesn’t break as much the PanO philosophy of « no tools »

    Happy to be challenged!

The BS 10 on the bot isn't as reliable to get smoke down on the first order but it has the element of being on a synced unit. Able to make the roll with every move shoot. I would definitely take a unit that can plop a template down somewhere every time it makes a shooting activation in a list with hackers or CC. Not as reliable numbers if you NEED the smoke down on the order (which you usually don't in Pan-0) but a pretty interesting proposition to be able to roll a 50/50 to block out one ARO while the BS 15 shooter knocks down another.

As a primarily nomad player I've been looking at pan-0 from a hacking angle. I think there's a lot there and I would consider the Guarda as a piece to help repeater bots move up or make a spot for a paratrooper hacker to walk on.

About orders. I believe its decent design that Pan-o trades the ability to stack orders, like Yu-jing and combined, for having the strongest defensive skill in the game, ballistics, and across nearly every piece they put on the board. They're the most likely to take the opponents pieces off the table with their own orders, or force cagy plays that sucks up orders like using smoke, and even once the opponent gets the angle on the softer targets, they're shooting back like everyone else's mid-tier shooters.
