    Well, you can just rule that this particular DT is a volume with finite dimensions (including height) and be done with it.

    It crossed my mind but who knows what kinds of rules issues that would bring. The Infinity rules are borderline legalese. I need to investigate.

    Provided that volume was say higher than an S2 you could prevent the majority of models in the game from vualting over it.

    However S5,6,7,8 HI and TAGs and Dog soldiers would still be able to move freely over it, as would super jumping troops.

    Though if you were going to do that Id suggest maybe going back to the VDT lol.

    Well, if wire is explicitly a volume that applies DT rules to whoever touches it and not anything else, then I don't think you need to worry about general scenery/terrain piece rules being applied to it.

    You can then proceed to add rules that troopers with certain S or ARM or whatever get to ignore it to the same effect.

    Adhesive might also make sense for active razor wire sections.

    While it's obviously not gooey, testing at PH-6 for IMM2 does represent troopers becoming entangled and bogged down. Also means that higher-PH troops would (logically) be willing to take their chances forcing their way through it, like TAGs or ultra-heavy infantry. Similarly though, they might still get entangled too.

    Then you'd need an Engineer to come along, clear the section and cut you out.

    yeah, the more we get into this, the more complicated it gets. True, a TAG would not really care that much about a bit of razor wire. Just stomp over or through it.

    Keeping it simple and stupid is the key. If it gets too complicated people will just avoid it rather than navigate the rules.

    Here's a different suggestion;
    Inside the Razor Wire, models count as climbing. (And then the standard: Engineers can use a Short Skill to remove a section, it has STR 1, ARM/BTS 0 for purposes of attacks, but I'd say only vulnerable to template and close combat anti-materiel weapons)
    Makes units like Kaplan and Kurgats really good at removing them, Lasiq and Bran simply ignore them, a typical link with Haramaki or Magister Knights would simply blow it gone, while Krakot Renegades and the Unknown Ranger will hack their way through like it's just jungle undergrowth.
    Another possibility is to set a PH value where the model simply ignore it (TAGs simply trample them)

    Simply put; trust that a human being (and their equivalents among plants and AI) has sufficient self-preservation to avoid getting cut and entangled. Climbing because a trooper would have a fair bit of padding, knife-proof gloves, etc etc, so that it mostly becomes a really annoying and time consuming to get through.
