I don't think having a seed-embryo Lt makes sense. I'd prefer it they made sure all Shasvastii Lts are specialists. Give them something to do with Lt order without making them into attack pieces.

Just wanted to point out that it's not (only) the Shasvastii or Seed Embryo skill that makes the Seed Soldier so expensive, it's the Light Shotgun. They pay 3 points to add the shotgun to their profile, making them essentially 11-point up-gunned models. If we then compare to Zhanshis, the other 11-point line infantry, we see that Shasvastii and Seed Embryo combined are worth the same as 2 CC and 1 PH, so probably one point for each skill (I'm assuming Shasvastii isn't a 0-cost skill because it is strictly beneficial).

There are a lot of cases where it's expected that weapons on a profile are used as filler to ensure that a model reaches or exceeds a point cost. And, at least for N2 era CA, there were definitely minimum point cost thresholds in the design. The "orders on sticks" were big deals when they came out.
