Update #25 - 04/18/2025 19:59: New dashboard and tariff wars

Cube slot size: The original slots were exactly 8 mm (like the cubes), which made things tight. We've increased them to 9 mm for greater ease of use.
We've also added a few elements that were missing from the demo version:
** Level: Indicates ship class: rank 1 (destroyers, frigates), rank 2 (cruisers, light carriers), rank 3 (battleships, heavy carriers).
** TPL: Deadweight - refers to equipment capacity.
** Mount: Maximum size of weapons/systems that can be installed.

We hope you'll be able to see all the work that has gone into this redesign. We tried to outsource it, but it didn't work. It's just too complex and too personal - there are nearly 400 unique elements on the panel, many of them interconnected.
We're super happy with the way it looks so far, even if there are still a few tweaks to be made. Most of the work is done!

- Tariff wars
Summary. There's a trade war underway, initiated by the Trump administration, with tariffs imposed on almost all imports into the US. This has led to additional costs for shipments and retaliatory measures by other countries, disrupting international trade. Tariffs fluctuate frequently, but currently most U.S. tariffs are suspended, except for China. This complicates shipments to the USA, but as deliveries have not yet begun, there is still hope that the situation will improve before shipments start. The team is monitoring developments and hopes to avoid delays or additional costs.

We’re back with a fresh update packed with exciting news!

Samples

As many of you know, we’re waiting on a big shipment of product samples from Unicool. Before shipping it out, they sent us some preview pics of the production models. You can check them out here:

They look absolutely awesome — we can’t wait to finally get the full fleet in our hands!
Aside from the ships, we’re also receiving a few extra components: the IME, the vector rod, the game mat… and a few other goodies. We’re pushing forward so production can move ahead as soon as possible.

Interplanetario

The Interplanetario is back this year — Corvus Belli’s main event, which unfortunately couldn’t happen in 2024.

Acheron’s Fall made its big debut at the 2023 edition!

Back then, we only had a rough prototype — the campaign hadn’t even launched yet! It feels like ages ago, and we’ve come such a long way since then. The project has grown a lot internally, and so has the prototype.
This year, we’ll be bringing our most advanced version yet, along with all the final ships so you can see them up close.
We’re super excited to meet you all again in person and will be happy to answer any questions you have!

Design

We’ve been migrating all our graphic design work from CorelDraw (great for design, but not for laying out hundreds of components) to Adobe InDesign. This lets us split everything into layers, make changes faster, and prepare files for print more easily.
We’ve already started, and you’ll get a sneak peek at some of the cards at the Interplanetario.
We’ve also received some great feedback from you and are making updates and tweaks accordingly. Nothing is 100% final just yet, but we’ll be uploading a highly advanced version to TTS soon so you can test the game and help us balance everything properly.
The plan is to send all the final cardboard files to Unicool by the end of the summer so production can begin.

21:34] Ramon_Perez: We're currently working on some issues with transparencies and the overall design, because when we printed copies for Interplanetario, there were a lot of details in the elements that we didn't like.

Once everything is finalized, we'll update the rulebook. We've left the TTS version as is for now, as you can more or less play using the currently published components and rules.

When the final cards are ready, we'll do a major update of the digital synthesis with all the content (including the full rulebook with all the final rules). Doing a partial mix now would probably be more confusing.

Radio Chrome City (present) - #1 Reactivation
We're back! Radio Chrome City is back, the show that tells all about what's going on in the world of Ramper Design and its projects. In this program, we review the past year.

The year 2024 was described as particularly difficult for Ramper Design. The company encountered many challenges, including project management issues and unforeseen obstacles. A low point was reached at the Esen event, where high expectations were not met, forcing the company to re-evaluate its strategy and refocus on its origins.

Despite the difficulties, Ramper Design managed to deliver several projects, including “Chrome Citizens” and collaborations with Zenit and Corbus Belli. A new card game, “Rem Racers”, was also announced. The company has also been working on future projects, with launches scheduled for 2026.

For the “Acheron” game, miniature production has begun, with final prototypes presented. Production will be lengthy due to the large number of miniatures to be produced. Maps and game elements are being finalized, with testing scheduled for the end of August.
