Id wait a few more days, before beeing to much into that. The ODD Fanous and Nasmats, as well as the 0 Swc Khawarij look like bugs to me.
RTF lists are going to look insanely light on SWC if everything is correct. With REMs not needing a HD to be used in a list, probably will see less Leila.
But Leilas new E/Maulers are quite tasty:-D Also, no need for a HD to field Rems anymore? Thats interesting...
It's been confirmed that Fanous should only be -3. I'd imagine Nasmats are also a mistake. I was surprised to see Yara as an option. Even without strategic deployment, She's a strong contender for primary gunfighter in a mixed core. I'm also happy to see Janissaries getting haris. Mukhtar still might be better, but buffs to both forms of Janissary make them worth serious consideration.
Are alfasids bug?? who's gonna run them when we got Asawira or Jenizaros. Overcost kawarij before Overovercost kawarij now, im gonna play jenizaros they are too good for the same points or less
The shock immunity absence is likely an oversight that will be fixed soon. As for the rest of their kit – they can now attack back through smoke and cannot be surprise shot from any distance so they got their niche IMO.
So, uh.... how we feeling about namurrs? Dropped 1 point on spit, 2 on rifle, cc up to 20, but now only dodging on 15s which kinda takes a bit of their flavor away. Im a little let down. But ill still enjoy running them.
I dig the extra burst on the Al Fasid HRL profile, makes him a really nice toolbox solo piece. I'm a bit bummed out with the Namurr's +6 dodge dropping to +3. that said, the changes to E/M and CC upgraded to 20 makes them viable versus TAGs and HI. D-Charges don't give a -3 in CC anymore either, so once you immobilize a TAG, start explosive punching away! You're not going to miss. Overall I'm quite happy with the improvements to Haqqislam's arsenal. Zhayedan's built in Haris and marksmanship makes me want to run a defensive Haris with the ML and sniper.
Yeah... I bought Spit guy two weeks ago and was hoping to get a good reason for using Namurrs in N4. And I still don't see a strong advantage of this unit. Ofcourse they're not bad, but still expensive and worse than many other guys in many things. With the changes to other soldiers I still feel like I won't field them to much. The one buff I see is that now E/Marat forces two BTS/2 rolls, which is cool. But that's also a buff to 5pts Ghazi, so... Maybe with time I'll see some great niche for them. Maybe there will be so many heavy infantry and TAGs that having Total Immunity unit with E/Marat and D-Charges will be a good option, but for now I'm unimpressed. PozdRawiam / Greetings
I think dodging on 18s, with the changes to dodge movement in the active turn, would be a bit broken! Especially with the +1", which I assume makes them move 9" in a single activation...
And then some, considering that the C1/N4 rules for combining ammo types means that N+EM = two rolls against halved BTS, with each failed roll applying the effects of both ammo types... Changes to Immunity (Total) are also worth bearing in mind, they're now completely immune to weapons with the Non-Lethal Trait, so can simply ignore Flash Pulses, anything with PARA ammo, ranged EM weapons etc.
Awesome, I wasn't sure yet on how that worked, but that's a huge buff. Now I definitely want to try out Namurrs more, maybe in a Duo with Yara. This makes Zamira slightly better as well.
And here I am, celebrating the improved CC training programme for Khawarijs. Finally they are decent at CC! And with the buffed Bioimmunity? Hell yeah!.. Perhaps now I'll stop getting weird looks when I bring out Core of these guys.
Also want to try this nonsense out: gZQPcmFtYWgtdGFza2ZvcmNlASCBLAEBCwCBNQEDAACBNQECAACBOwEDAACBOwEDAACBTgECAACBPgEBAACBLQETAACBOgEBAACBTQEBAACBLQEHAACBLQEHAA== Optimal? Hell no. But plenty of specialists, 12 Orders, consistent 2x Red Fury + 2x MULTI HMG Supprissive fire, a bit of protection and support for Maggies and Rafiqs, nice mine coverage. Might as well switch the HRL Maggie to a second Mine Dispenser one, for even more mine coverage and coorinated reloads.
You're discussing the Namurr correct? They only have E/M CC weapons, not anything else. Same with Zamira. Am I missing something?
E/M CC weapons have a normal + E/M ammo effect, which if I understand correctly means normal ammo and E/M is combined, forcing two saves on halved BTS, inflicting a wound per failed save and the effects of E/M.
I've read the rules, didn't get this at all. Can someone please post the rules and the page please? Thanks! :)
