Question about mine dispenser: 1.) Do I place camo token down for mine when it is fired or do I place a mine token down instead?
Not what I expected from a Raicho update, but I think I can work with it. I'll have to put together some TAG lists for my next few games.
The Mine Dispenser certainly deserves a lot of community attention... But a Damage 16 shotgun on a fast, armored, multi-Structure TAG is phenomenal. Especially when it doesn't have to give up its main weapon system, and also has mines.
I never even considered if it was common or not. How many other TAGs even have shotguns to begin with?
Yep - me too - this bulky ammo canister on its shoulders gives plenty of ammo for that ;.) To know is it something, that throws mines is a bit boring fluffwise. For gaming purposes it is an advantage for sure.
I think a gun that shoots mines is the opposite of boring. Maybe that's just my Goldeye days coming back to me though.
I love it. Might be my new favorite TAG. I can see bringing it over an overdron in vanilla in certain missions now, and it breathes new life into the MAF too. I am excite.
The heavy shot gun might also just be a functional way of implying the Raicho just emptying tons of ammo into a small localized space with its HMG and not an actual shotgun.
This. Many times over this. I like this profile because of how versatile it is. If there are no targets for it to shoot at while advancing, it can drop mines, and if it gets too close to the enemy it's letting loose with 2 BS20 (14+6) DAM16 shots that can be either a very dangerous template or an AP mode to chew up other TAGs. It's super aggressive, looks super aggressive and rewards being super aggressive. I'm in love.
Yeah, the new Raicho profile looks interesting more than anything else. I'm willing to pay a few extra points for flexibility on something like a TAG. My personal headcanon, by the way, is that the "shield" on the right arm is the mine dispenser.
Someone once told me that my list had "more landmines than the Bosnian war". Spoiler I'm pretty sure that they used more than 27 mines in Bosnia though.
Unbelievable, they actually made the poor Raicho interesting and worth taking. Shocking. Didn't think it was possible. A shotgun toting TAG. lol
The raicho now looks like it works -very- well in a unique way with other MAF troops. Raicho and a Yogurt LT basically requires double Ikadron. RELOAD!
The shotgun is my favorite part. The higher WIP and +6 to hit will be great against all those camo PanO TAGs.
Well, hell. What am I going to do with two Reicho models? Because I really like the new model and I also really like the old model.
