I was using a Zhanying with some degree of sucess in some lists. The use of Sensor and triangulated fire is a boon. Normally i use them as a backup for my Wu Ming core. The point is, when i use triangulated fire i need to discover first or when the TO is in marker state i am able to shoot right away?
You need to Discover first, you may not declare attacks against Camouflage/TO markers (the exceptions are Discover+BS Attack special order, and intuitive attack )
Someone here, sorry I can't remember, told me a great trick to use with the MadTrap. Move the MT into line of fire of an enemy, he must declare to do something right then, either he declares to do something against the MT or nothing. You then move your Zhaying into view. Since they already declared against the MT or nothing. They can't do anything against the Zhanying. Next order you are free to do the Triangulate Fire. I believe they get the bonuses for fire team. But only with guns, not equipment or skills.
Negative on that. Triangulate fire screws up the BS bonus and the Burst bonus doens't work on entire order skills.
Thanks. Guys, I never used it with a link so I wasn't sure at all. TF might not be worth it if in link most times but nice when you need to take out a TO camo guy in cover and suppression at long range!
If you have somthing important like a Tag or a hac tao in CC with something dangerous ( fiday/speculo/oniwaban) you can use the trianguled fire to kill it without damage your own model. Remember only a - 3 ignoring TO or - 6 for being on cc.
