    I'm on the cheap side of the hobby and this is what got me into QK in the first place. Started CJC then began collecting QK models as money allowed. This split unit pool made it way easier to justify a box here or there vs buying into a whole new faction properly.

    Currently eyeing the Odalisques box for their own profiles plus proxying as Observance nuns and Riot Grrls. Waiting to jump until we hear the news from adepticon but I'm cautiously optimistic. Hell, with CJC and QK both under the knife maybe they'll do something to the Iguana and I'll finally buy an S7.

    Poor wording on my part. I meant since both sectorials are being reworked (hopefully released at the same time) this would be a reasonable time to change the Iguana without throwing off balance in either sectorial.

    Giving fireteam core to Alguaciles and the ability to add a MB in would be cool. They're getting that in CJC apparently.

    True, but then again Alguaciles were linkable in CJC since original Human Sphere. They were AVA 4 in QK & no link allowed exactly as long.
    It would be stepping on Ghilim toes, as well as upsetting Hafza and Janissary teams...

    Not to mention, QK was the fireteam sectorial back then: Ghilim, Odalisques, Djanbazan, Druze, Janissaries, Azra'il (AVA 3 Linkable back then), later supplemented with Kaplan and Sekban, Odalisque Haris (first Haris in the game!) and Sekban Haris, all sprinkled with AVA 4 Hafzas with no limit of them joining a Fireteam...

    In N3, Azra'il became S5 superheavies with no Fireteam capability, because, IIRC, CB wanted less Fireteams in QK, and some individual model options.
    Kaplan and Druze lost Hafza linkability, and Hafza were limiter to 2 per Core and 1 per Haris (actually, not a big deal for me, I always considered the 4 Hafza + 1 Janissary team to be too fragile :P).

    What does the future hold for us, time will tell.

    To be honest about a rework. I feel that many of the fireteam options in QK is in a pretty decent state. It is more the units them self that needs some either new options or profiles.

    Like the Djabazans could use something like D-Charges and boarding shotguns on a single profile to reflect the lore about them like "They specialize in assault, boarding and security/control operations, so they are used as an anti-terrorist by the Muhafiz"

    While units like the Hafze could use some special skills like Chain of Command, Tactical Awareness or NCO. To show that they are trained from one of the most prestigious military academy. with a focus on front line operation.

    And as for a unit like the Sekbans I feel thy base stat line is pretty good and solid. and the only thing I would add would be V. Courage to make them more able to hold a position.

    But the mercenary and nomad units should be left with hired help kind of feeling

    IIRC Bostria said in a video that unless they get totally reworked, all tweaked sxisting sectorials wont have many 3rd Offesive new rules (maybe because they were still testing these rules when they starter the rework?:thinking_face:)

    This could be awesome on Azra'ils too

    Don't forget to add "...but I'll still buy those cool new minis" just in case someone over there might get funny ideas because of comments like this :P

    No more cheeky than camo CoCs or supporting Camo Lt2s tbh.

    Personally, my wishlist looks like this, in no particular order:

    - Djan Haris to allow them linked while you are using cheaper Core;
    - Azrail linkability, as they are pretty eh by themselves in the modern world, especially FB profile, but with at least Burst bonus and exceptional Akbar support they can be something interesting; it can be Haris similar to how Krizas and Yan Huos are linkable, with some mid-costed pointman and a Wildcard in the army to replace second heavy;
    - Some minor Jan tweaks, as it was already mentioned ITT;
    - maaaybe proper Hafza wildcard, but I'm not sure here;

    Then there's that I still don't quite get Sekbans, but oh well.

    Finally, it's upsetting to know there's a chance of QK stopping getting new sculpts before new Odas are here.

    I'll buy Kharijites most probably to use Mk12 in vanilla. Cannot currently see a reason to buy Zhayedans though it can be changed after the RTF release.

    I need Tuaregs, Khawarijs and Zhayedans as Brawler/Hafza/Barid-proxies :)

    Brawlers would be great but that might move it a bit to much into starco and dbs territory, mostly I'd lie something to make Sekban just a bit more interesting to play as I haven't had success with them outside using them as a purely defensive piece, which makes the fact they are meant to be an elite assault unit and the fact they have a spitfire option quite baffling to me. This might be a controversial opinion but i think they'd be great if they had veteran level 2, then they'd be in a good position to fight more aggressively, and would have a new job in taking those classified objectives that can be completed by vets. it would necessitate a bit of a points hike though.

    But what do we you need Brawlers at all when we have Ghulams and HAFZAs?

    They'd be way more expensive then, too...

    I have, actually, used them offensively with a full Core, and it was well before they got Advanced Deployment L1 with recent ITS. They work well in that role, but you need to press the assault with them, otherwise that reduced mobility will start biting you in the butt... Still, AdvDep L1 may be mitigating this a bit nowadays.

    They are as good shots as we get with their BS 13, they are quite resilient with ARM 3 BTS 3 (mind having cover though!), and with 360 Visor you can't really move behind their backs.
    They do bring their own Doc with them, and the Spitfire + AP Rifles combo gives them decent firepower. I miss the underbarrel shotguns that are Haqq standard though, therefore I tend to bring a dedicated Boarding Shotgun hunner (besides the Doc!) for close-in work and room clearing (while Chain Colt may be hitting automatically on those ranges, I usually prefer to open up with a shotgun, as it tends to allow winning a FtF roll and thus avoiding ARM tests!).

    I think that with the new haris comps that Invincible brought us with the S5 Yan Huo we might expect an Azrail team. I think they are a good attacking piece, yet they need to shine more. A Haris with Feuerbach would be awsome.

    Azra’il are the only haqq unit I don’t own, and I may be convinced to run them if they get Haris. A specialist profile would help too.

    I’m not sure about links on Azra’il. I’d like to see Full auto and/or Fatality. I mean look at that APHMG / belt feed / ammo box, and it all currently has the same in-game effect as a line infantry HMG?
    FA1 would also give the same benefit as a Haris team, and leave that slot free for an assault team.
    Not saying this is a prediction, links as the ‘universal cure-all’ are more likely than upgrades when we get these updates sadly.

    Azrail links. That would be bitterly amusing. Since it was removed from them because there were "too many" options. Back then...
