Played this in my yesterday game of Panic Room. Impressions: Of course, the Janissary Core is great. Having Wild Bill around for defending the Objective Room is a nice bonus. Sekban's NCO order is not much but it's an honest extra-order that is otherwise not used in QK. Using it for repositioning your link to a more defensive position is always welcome. With all his glorious damage, Azra'il is still having trouble hitting anything, but AP HMG has a nice bonus of suppressive fire, and having a two-wound model with that gun SFing the objective room is a great deterrent. Iguana plays exactly the same as it did back in N4. The new crit mechanic serves her well now. Objectively speaking, Scarface is more useful thanks to having an Engineer in tow. Yuan Yuans can be used on Turn 3 or Turn 2 with the Controlled Jump bonuses, but why bother. Dropping them on 11s is still a nice option and now you won't lose them to an AROing sniper by scattering them out in the open. Even if they don't drop down on their initial position – they will still contribute the irregular order and the smoke coverage. (EDIT: it appears that according to the current wording the AD troops do not contribute their order when they are off-table, meaning they will not fall down the Irregular order and will only generate it in your next Active Turn) The Hawwas did not have much stuff to do on any of my N4 games, but I remember them being solid button pushers and great hacking units, and that's honestly the best I could hope for. I only had one game with Djanbazan and they do gell well with Yuan Yuans as always. A lone Djanbazan HMG is a nice assistance unit to something like a Janissary Core. While Kaplans haven't been played in QK, I did play them in WhiteCo, and a cheapened Sniper Core with Mimetism can occasionally come in handy for active-turn long-range shooting as long as your target is not another sniper. Giving them Rahman, Bill, and Leila as Wildcards is a welcome, albeit almost negligible, bonus in terms of cheapening the link. I think Spitfire+Bill+Rahman Haris is pretty viable thanks to two NWI models. But it remains to be seen whether that Haris is good in practice. It seems to me, oh effendi, you've missed our humble hero ghulam grenadier. But saying of NCOs: @ijw: sorry to bother you, but is that intentional, that there is only Sekban Lieutenant AP Rifle profile exists without Sekban AP Rifle, so the army lieutenant is potentially exposed?

Pretty good attack vectors in each group (Scarface in 1, and the Janni-Leila-Sekban Haris in 2), and both can benefit from an additional order (tac awareness and NCO respectively). It does suffer badly in terms of ARO potential and midfield control though.
My QK list: > JANISSARY: 123 - HMG - HMG - HMG> ODALISQUE: 44 - SMG w/ N.Pulse; F.Pulse - SMG w/ N.Pulse; F.Pulse> GHULAM: 27 - SMG; F.Pulse + Doctor - Nasmat - Nasmat> FANOUS: 21 - F.Pulse - F.Pulse - F.Pulse> KAMEEL: 15 - EVO.HD> GHULAM: 52 - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust> HAFZA: 15 - Rifle w/ Shotgun + Lieutenant Janissaries and Odalisues form a offensive core. Rouhani supports the core. Fanous and Ghulams provide defensive. Kameel supports Fanous and reloads Ghulams. Hadza LT hides with Ghulams.
You really don’t need 3 HMG jannisaries haha . furthermore you aren’t using any yuan yuan or al hawwa and your list lacks specialists entirely (except for rouhani) . take wild bill and Leila in the core for short range gun fighting and a cheap specialist. Take a different heavy weapon : odalisque spitfire, hafza hrl , Jan missile launcher . swap some Ghulam for yuan yuan or al hawwa . good luck
Good at ARO but mediocre at best in everything else. - The EVO Hacker is pretty much useless as he is just able to buff 1 Fanous and is not able to counterhack anymore - no Counterhacking to save your Jannissaries HMG (if your opponent gets a repeater like a pitcher near your Jannissaries he will fry them all) - Lack of Specialists - No FO or offensive Hacker or Engineer is definitely limiting your ability to accomplish objectives - Bad Rangebands for your Jannissaries HMG once you have to move upfield in order to accomplish objectives. The Odalisques do help with their SMG but there is a gap between 8-16 inches. And you are paying premium points for all those Jannisaries HMG.
He's not, but the ghulam smoker is not a wildcard, so it can't be placed with 3 Janissaries & Wild Bill in a Core ^^
@sololobo Forgive me if I have totally missed something, but doesn't that list contain two too many models? Also, Ghulam with SMG? You can export the list into the forums now which would be very handy in this instance :)
Everyone was posting lists I thought so I threw mine out, but I didn’t expect this amount of responses. lol That would be a complete redesign of my list, so I will have to pass. Thanks tho. Ah, really? With captain spuds app not up to date I was still under the impression Kameel EVO bots could provide support to all Fanous Bots. Well, I will be making changes on that front. Yes, I lack specialists. It’s a list I field then make adjustments as needed vs trying to be perfect from the start. It grows as I grow. Good catch on the range issue. I was reasoning the additional dice and BS bump would overcome less optimal range bands. (Update) I just removed one HMG and both Odalisques for two AP Rifle Janissaries with TinBots. And, I was able to squeeze in Bill sporting a Rifle. The only down grade to the list was the Kameel EVO to base Kameel. So, I lost counter AD and Fairy Dust. No, not unless Nasmats take up a slot. I was under the assumption they do not, but this is a new addition. Correct. And I never liked the imported version. It always looked messy.
CB gave Spud early access to the rules so he could have his app ready for launch https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/n4-tools.37743/ https://www.captainspud.com/n4/
You are correct :) I popped it into the army builder and Nasmats don't make a difference. 5 SWC and 297 points with zero issues!
Awesome! And, since the Wiki was down for a while I grew accustom to winging it. lol But, so I just looked up the hacking programs and it’s very clear now what device has what programs. :D Yes sir! Ramah has access to 4 of the little buggers (nasmats) so I figured it does not count against the slots.
Wait, so does that mean I can equipment two Nasmats to Asawira or Janissairy Doctors to deal with all the midfield mines? Groovy.
You can have up to two per Doctor/Engineer, but you're still limited by the overall Nasmat AVA in the Army list.
@sololobo the list you posted is not bad as it packs an awfull lot of firepower but it lacks certain elements you might need in button pushing scenarios. How do you plan to do fireteams with the revised list? Jannisaries-core link with WildBill and solo Ghulams? Or Jannisaries Haris (are they able to do Haris?) and a Ghulam core link including the Hafza?
Updated, to improve range bands per Kesharqs constructive observations/opinions. GROUP-1: 10 Orders > JANISSARY: 177 - AP.Rifle w/ Shotgun; TinBot - AP.Rifle w/ Shotgun; TinBot - Rifle w/ Multi.Pistols (Wild Bill) - HMG - HMG> GHULAM: 27 - SMG; F.Pulse + Doctor (Rouhani) - Nasmat - Nasmat> FANOUS: 21 - F.Pulse - F.Pulse - F.Pulse> KAMEEL: 08 - Baggage GROUP-2: 5 Orders > GHULAM: 52 - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust - Rifle w/ Shotgun; Panzerfaust> HAFZA: 15 - Rifle w/ Shotgun + Lieutenant Your first assumption is correct. I will lean offensively with the Jan core supported by Rouhani. And, Defend with solo Fanous Bots and Ghulams supported by Kameel Bot with Baggage for reloading. Some of the neat things about the list is that if a Jan dies and cannot be revived Rouhani can join the link. Question, should I drop the second TinBot and Nasmats to upgrade the Kameel to an EVO Kameel to gain access to Fairy Dust?
