Still can’t link. Why would you place it a as a single mini except Decapitation mission? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wonder if QK would loose its theme if Brigadas and Alguaciles could link. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Please note that Jannisaries got buffed to include BS 14, so they are pretty great shooters now. CB did a good job making so all the HI have different strengths. MBs have a place in QK even without linking as good hackers and objective takers. The hacker with a Tinbot -6 can complete a good amount of classifieds and is resilient.
sometimes i use just one Hi to act on its own. he cant beat linked ARO, but in a middle of a game it very potent & cheap attack piece
I'm gone for a day and this happens. Sekbans receiving NCO and Specialist Operative is welcome. The + 1 Burst to their Chain-Colts is going to be brutal. I still don't know if I will run a Core or Haris. Djanbazan improvements make them an all around better unit (as a lot of the comments seem to agree). However, I tended to only run the sniper so AP+Shock is a real improvement. KTS really didn't change all that much with the exception of a Specialist Operative. Hafza staying largely the same is disappointing, as these units still don't match the Fluff. But, I often would just use them to cheapen links or hiding LT. shenanigans. I loved using them to play the Saladin Shell game. (Speaking of which) Saladin no longer being an option is disappointing but not unexpected. (Shakes fist in the air "Starmada") Nomad units were rarely ever included in my past list. I would really only use a Alguacile if I doing last minute point math. AL Hawwa didn't change all that much but they were great already. Odalisques being Wildcard is great and I am still working out how to implement their improvements. Azra'il gaining Continuous damage on all weapons is a little ridiculous but I'm glad the models match the damage. They really are a pocket TAG at this point.
^ The Saladin clones was a vanilla Haqq trick. (Though now Cho and him can do a pretty good CoC tag team in Starmada.)
I was hoping they would link with the Merc fireteams, It would give QK 2 distinct set of options and the Druze\Kaplan a lot more playable. As for the MB: In N3 I never used them, but in N4 I see the HD profile being used. I was going to use the Janissary with Leila for Tinbot(-3)/KHD. But the MB hacker is Tinbot(-6)/HD which makes it a lot stronger in F2F. I don't really mind losing the 1 WIP, especially since you get the improved Tinbot, Mov & 1 extra W. The main trade off is the cost, and the fact it only has a combi.
- Sekban even got Wildcard (w/o MERC). Easily overlooked as it is not in Army right now but in the Fireteam chart - Al'Hawwa Sniper is now several points cheaper and got Minelayer. I would call that a significant upgrade to that profile. - Odalisques had that Wildcard (w/o MERC) before N4 for some years. I think the SMG/Flash Pulse (+1B) is the only new profile here as you had to choose between 360 visor and 6th sense before.
The subtle improvements in the sector (Azrail aside) in my opinion don't measure up, we are currently playing N4, we have to remember that qapu on N3 was wrong, we have to admit, with the new 15 orders our offensive from the air the yuan yuan have fallen short of orders or simply out of the lists. In my opinion I see a sectorial that depends on the Azrail/scarface or the 3 to the hawwa hackers to win something, that is quite well countered.
I don't think I'll be relying on Scarface or Azra'il to win me entire games, especially when I have a cheapened Janissary Core that can bust faces AND complete objectives. Or a Djanbazan defensive core with the Janissary Haris. So you always got that crutch to rely upon if you want to play QK competitively.
I could not find where it states Sekban can Wildcard (Link Please.) I never use the Sniper profile on the Al'Hawwa but with Minelayer I may start to. You are correct, overlooked that one.
The SWC cost is the same but the 6pt difference isn't significant, unless your trying to shave points. However, the HRL does also come with a light shotgun which opens up more potential.
The Sectorials Charts don't link well, you need to download the whole .zip and unpack it, then look into QKs.
I've played 2 games with the new Qk, and my initial feelings are that they are a mediocre but fun sectorial. Azrail is really not as good as everyone is hyped up for. He is probably worth keeping at home, though I will continue to try him out with the AP HMG. I've decided the FB is just average at best and not worth the points. Djanbazan HMG / Sniper in a core is potent. I am linking 2 Djan (HMG and sniper) with an odalisque spitfire, hafza lt and hafza FO. The Odalisque has performed very well. It is very helpful to have an effective 2W model in your link. Definitely liking her. Leila is also floating around as a duo with the Azrail, so she can potentially join the main link at some point, but they usually are on opposite ends of the table. Yuan Yuan are easily the best thing in the sectorial. Holeeee sheeeit I love this unit. They are exceptionally good alpha strike pieces, but also work well in tandem with the Djan link, or holding for turn 2 or 3 to chop up someone in CC. Booty is hilarious as always. In my last game I got 2 Multi snipers and a multi rifle for them. God bless Yuan Yuan. Overall, I'm enjoying the sectorial but I'm disappointed with the missed opportunities. Mobile brigada, Alguacile, Druze, KTS... will you ever realistically use these models? I think the Djan or Jan link is superior, without question. Sekban... Not terrible but the Hafza and other wildcards already fill this role. Maybe I'll try them out though. Scar face is definitely if you run a defensive link (for example, dropping my djan HMG and azrail, replacing with scarface and cordellia). this is where my list is right now (tailored to supplies, but adaptable ) QK 3 ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 10 HAWWA' (Hacker, Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges ( ) / Pistol, CC Weapon. I still haven't had a chance to play yet, but this is what I'd run. YY second battel group is auto-include in QK. No change from N3. Djanbzan core is my go to In general I like having doc in my core, so upgrading the djanbzan to a sekban for NCO is an easy choice. HMG & Markmans rifle are my go to's for guns. I also like having a Hacker in my Link, which explains Leila Hafzas LT for cheap body count, I'll probably hide it as an odalisque. Azrail PF because it's the new shiny Rafiq FTO because it's shiny. I like having a hacker/specialist with my big guns. The repeater is basically a hacker proxy. Having sensor is a nice extra. Mobile Bragada: I think he has potential. I need to play a couple games with it before It's set as a go to piece. Its fast/tough above average Hacker/Specialist. I just wish it had a marksman rifle. Hawwa for infiltrating specialists. Ghulam as a chearleader/decoy Lt. ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 10 LEILA SHARIF (Hacker) Shock Marksman Rifle, E/M Mines, D-Charges / Breaker Pistol, CC Weapon.
