Here are the changes in the march 2022 update.
TLDR first : able to take 2 haris. Everyone can Haris including Azra'il. Widlcard can join Druze/KTS.

We can take 1 Core, 2 Haris, and unlimited Duo.

5-member bonus reduced from +3BS to +1BS and Discover+3 removed
Composition Bonus for pure fireteam has Discover+3 as 3-men, and cumulative +1 BS on 4th and 5th member bonus.
We can conclude that for Haris, losing Comp Bonus doesn't lose anything compared to the original (pre-march) bonus.

Wildcard pool: Same units, same 0-1 or 0-2. KTS/Druze can take any wildcard, not limited to Leila/Rahman. Most Wildcard make you lose the Comp Bonus (mostly matters for 4- and 5-men core).
Note on Hafza: Some fireteams (ghulam/djan/jan/sek/oda) can take 0-2 Hafza with Comp Bonus. And those fireteam can then take another 0-2 Wildcard Hafza, losing Comp Bonus but being able up to field 4 Hafza in a Core team.

Ghulam Fireteam (requires 1 actual Ghulam): Gained Haris. Alguacile are still linkable but don't give Comp Bonus. Hafza and Leila gives Comp bonus.

Janissary Fireteam (requires 1 actual Janissary): Wild Bill doesn't count as a Janissary anymore (to make a Janissary-less Jan team), he can link but without Comp Bonus. Hafza gives Comp Bonus.

KTS Fireteam (requires 1 actual KTS): Gained Duo. Wild Bill can join, without Comp Bonus. No restriction in regards to Wildcard. Any wildcards can join, without Comp Bonus.

Djanbazan Fireteam (requires 1 actual Djanbazan): No changes. Hafza gives Comp Bonus.

Druze Fireteam (requires 1 actual Druze): Gained Haris. Druze Cheif Arslan is added in QK and can join with Comp Bonus. No restriction in regards to Wildcard. Any wildcards can join, without Comp Bonus.

Azra'il Fireteam (requires 1 actual Azra'il): Gained Haris. Can't be Rafiq FTO + WC now, it has to be 1 Azra'il + Rafiq/WC. +B stacks. Also B2 in ARO from Haris is good.

QK Fireteam (requires 1 Odalisque or Sekban): Sekban and Odalisque already had Core/Haris. They gained Duo. Hafza gives Comp Bonus to either.

Unfortunately Fiddler FTO cannot join anything; Mobile Brigada can't link with Alguacile; Alguacile can't make a pure fireteam (requires at least 1 Ghulam); and Scarface+Cordelia can't Duo.

Edit: in addition to Arslan, we also got Beasthunters (of which the FTO loadout cannot join fireteams).

Please note, the Hafza (unit name) in the fireteam composition chart and Hafza wildcards are two different options, a Djanbazan core team with 2 Hafza will retain composition Bonuses, a Djanbazan core team with 3 Hafza will not.

Nice. That is an excellent note that completely missed. Djanbazan can take 0-2 Hafza (Djanbazan); but can also take 0-2 Wildcard Hafza (no bracket). So we have a new option now, in that we can have as much as 4 hafza in total in a Core Fireteam !

Ghulam Hacker and Leila KHD can now work in a linkteam as you can declare a Hacking Fireteam ARO and have hackers declare different programs.

I was surprised to see Ramah get a mixed Al Fasid and Janissary fireteam option. Does anyone know why this makes sense from a fluff perspective? I feel it would be more logical for QK to have an Azra'il + Janissary fireteam since Azra'il are former Janissary.

It makes sense fluffwise: Faithful Janissaries keep the disgraceful Al Fasid in line. And Azra'il are former Sultan Guards, not Jannisaries. They are exiled and isolated because they were politically suspect (which fits on why only a remote or wildcards can join them.).

Are the Jamdariyah not just a specific regiment of Janissary? Historically, I believe that Jamdariyah referred to the Mamluk Sultan's regiment, which was drawn from the larger pool of Mamluk slave-soldiers. QK doesn't have Mamluk's per se, but Janissary would be the Ottoman equivalent and Janissary were also considered household troops to the Ottoman Sultan, which meant that they acted as his personal guard.

If memory serves me, Sultan's bodyguard is indeed formed of Janissaries.

However, @Brokenwolf is correct: Azra'il regiment is formed of the Janissaries who were considered to be politically suspect after the change of a Sultan.

The Azra’il are veteran elite troops who have fallen into disgrace. The Jamdariyah, the Sultan’s personal guard, is renewed with each Sultan. Every time a new one is elected by the people, his head of security disbands the previous Jamdariyah.

Some of the members stay on with the new Sultan, but those who are politically suspect cannot keep their old rank. However, they can’t be sent back to their former regiments either, because, having been part of the Sultan’s guard, who knows what they may have seen or heard? This is why they are sent to the Azra’il Special Deterrent Group, where their talents can be used, but where they can also be closely monitored.

Thank you for the clarification on the Jamdariyah, as I did not know they were a branch of Jannisaries.

I am happy that Azra'il can Haris now as with the massive fireteam changes that is now some serious fire power. Burst 5 AP HMG or Burst 4 Feuerbach continuous damage is super frightening.

That, the 2 Haris, and Hazfa allowed with mercs (no comp bonus, though) gives QK some much needed life.

Does anyone have any interesting combinations that leverage the new Azrail Haris or merc wildcards options? I've been toying with the concept of Odalisque spitfire plus Druze KHD and Leila, or Druze HMG plus Druze KHD and Odalisque BSG. I think Odaliques might solve the durability issue that Druze have - helping them get up field and tanking templates from skirmishers. In DBS, Diggers fill a similar role, albeit cheaper but with less ranged capability.

I've been trying different Azrail options and found to be my preferred Haris. If I want to keep my core fire team un-mixed, I figure I should move my Sekban NCO to a haris. The sekban doc made the most sense. At minimum it forces your opponent to putting extra orders on the unconscious Azrail to make sure he stays down. I also tried the Sekban HRL. It save 7 points that lets you add a Fanous, A useful option if you have spots free. I found the Docs option works well paired with a ghulam defensive fire team. its fits better point wise. Leila is there to discourage hackers and do objectives (Specialist & D-Charges).

While I love the Djanbzan and the azrail fire team options, I don't think you can realistically fit both in the same list.

I'm still looking at the Merc haris options. I recently picked up the Kaplan box, but I'm converting 2 into Druze, jut because I don't think I'll ever play full links of these. The Kaplan sniper is a viable solo option. I might use the engineer profile in 'Highly Classified' or 'Capture and Protect' were you want lots of specialists. The kaplan is better than fidder for thus just because its linkable. I'll always take Fiddler as a solo engineer over the kaplan. Wild bill just doesn't inspire me, and won't make me play the kaplan link..

The druze have a couple options that have potential. I might play the following. It has enough versatility, and the EM grenades have some potential. I might try it in decapitation where the EM grenades can knock out Lts using speculative fire. these are the only models I'm actually going to keep around.

I'd love some low-SWC Azra'il option to act as a Fireteam filler. Sure, having a mixed Fireteam with whatever Wildcards works most of the time, but I'd like to field a "pure" Azra'il Haris at some point. And honestly, using 1,5 SWC Feuerbachs and 2 SWC HMGs to fill a link it rather prohibitively expensive (we end up with 4,5 to 6 SWC for the Haris total).

Back in the N2 era, there was a 0,5 SWC loadout carrying an AP Rifle with LFT and a Panzerfaust. Did great for exactly that puropse - filling the Azra'il Fireteam.
Now, AP Rifle, LFT & Panzerfaust aren't exactly optimal for the N3/N4 Azra'il Fireteam Filler - we could do better with the modern kit - but provide a good reference point IMO.

I'd see the big deal. Don't see many viable options that have 3 non-duo fire teams. It was a nice option, but when I start with the idea of 3 fireteams in a single list, one usually gets trimmed by the time the list is finished.

I'm still loving new options. The Azrail FB Haris my new favorite.
