For the Kickstarter they're using the same PVC as the later 2-mini Aristeia boxes, which is decent for PVC, especially if the minis are designed with the material in mind, but obviously not as good as current metals. The skirmish game retail release will be Siocast, presumably using the new harder resin as I believe they're switching all their in house plastics to it, so it'll be equivalent in detail to current metal minis.
