Maaaaaaaybe as ARO pieces, but I don't really agree. HB is def the most tuned of the Haqq sectorials (although I rate vHaqq higher), but Shujae are kinda just bad in near absolute terms imho. They just aren't suited to the current state of the game. Infil, short range bands and no camo is a really difficult combination to make work. Samsa makes it work because plasma weapons are insane, and 6-2 and super jump allows for flexibility with deployment and movement. But Shujae and other similar units (Locusts, Nokken, Zerat, even infil holoprojector units like Yasbir and Kanren) require so much screening and board control to keep safe from warbands, other skirmishers, strong sweepers, ect, and all you get in return is a 1W gunfighter that at best is gonna be sporting something like an AP Marksman Rifle.
See, I look at the Shujae and wish it was the Locust for Haqqislam. I have been thinking about this. Right now the Shujae is in a weird and conflicting space. First it has BS 13. That is great. But the only BS weapons it has access to are relatively basic (Submachine guns, AP rifles, and Boarding Shotguns) so it cannot utilize that better BS effectively. It is a native specialist with forward deployment, but Haqqislam has multiple cheaper specialists that have full Infiltration and Camouflage. Also, giving it HD would just make it a Nadhir +1. So how would I fix it? It needs to have a niche. Give all the profiles the E/M mines and minelayer with the associated .5 SWC. Change the AP rifle to a Multirifle, give the Submachine profile +1 Burst, and make the boarding shotgun into a Vulcan shotgun. All that would fit the fluff as they are former foreign assets (having different and deniable gear) and make them unique in Haqqislam. I would love a Multi-marksman or an Engineer profile, but that might be a step too far.
I'd remove 360 visor from Maghariba Guard. If I'm not mistaken, Maghariba is paying close to 20 points for this skill, as the current profile is more in line with the N3 profiles that paid 20 points for it, and it is absolutely garbage in N4, where HMG TAGs don't want to get anywhere close to mid field. But cheakily, this does mess with your point 4 (which is kind of unclear - different skills & equipment cost different amounts, so if you stack them, the guy will cost different - but if you don't change the points, you can just stack good stuff and they'd be better). So one more inline with what you're going for - MSV1 on all the Hundun Profiles. Imho, the spread of guys who have mim or msv on specific profiles for a unit is not great, it breaks the coherent 'feeling' of a unit. They are gameplay tweaks that imho generally don't line up with the unit verisimilitude. For the Hundun, the MSV1 on the sniper would make it more useable in this day of OP active attack pieces.
My Pick: Deva Functionaries Remove: The bare combi rifle profile, the multirifle profile, the bare LT profile & all devabot options (5 profiles removed) Add: A sensor + devabot & a LT/sensor + devabot profiles Add: A hacker + devabot profile. (OSS specific) The above cleans up a unit that CB knows needs cleaning up, as my first reduction matches to the options they have for Devas in O-12 reinforcements. (Seriously, look at the options they have there vs the regular profile in Aleph/OSS. It's just the actual entries you'd want) I add back in a devabot Lt option & decoy that still has some use, and an OSS specific hacking devabot option that I think just sounds neat.
EXOs, Exrah Executive Officers Add them to the exrah link team in Onyx Contact Force as a 0-1 option. Maybe make some of the profiles FTO to limit gear/skill options. I'm not sure if a linkable chain of command will change much in the sectorial, and the ground version don't thematically fit as a wildcard like they do in reinforcements, it just bothers me unreasonably much that one of the four infantry profiles available for the species. their supposed leaders, aren't linkable with the rest :/
