    Not sure I agree.

Between Zhencha's FO, Tai Sheng's FO/CoC, the common Haidao KHD, and the remote possibility of adding a Zuyong Paramedic, I think the sectorial has enough button pushers among its mainstay units. The Hulang isn't exactly part of the mainstay in terms of role, but will instead compete with the likes of Yan Huo and Mowang given it's over-arching role and cost. When you look at its specific role, it still isn't to go past a button to push it, but to seek others out. It's also the sectorial's only melee unit, so instead of pushing buttons it's going to be hunting hard targets.
I would have loved to see it lean more into that role with a bit of mobility and maybe sensor instead of doing the 2016 version of fixing units ("just make them specialists")

It's just a shame the low PH means speculative fire on targets outside of 8" is out of the question. Really makes the E/M Grenades, if not entirely pointless, but a lot less useful, a Grenade Launcher would've been so much better here, simply because of the fact that this unit is screwed over so hard by hackable trait.

As I mentioned in the #makehulangplayableN4 thread, Im with you. I think this should be a beatatick and have more survivablity. It would fufill thier theme and fluff imo.

At least BS 13 as well.

I've got a handful of games in with IA and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Been building around zanshi core to free up points for the interesting stuff and have to say they're a good force. They've got tools to deal with most things and the extra orders on daoying, tacaware and NCO mean you can take casualties better than most and get more done in a turn. That's pretty solid to me

To me, getting the fireteam bonus for an ML bot and the haidao isn't enough to make IA viable compared to vanilla. You lose a lot more than you gain. What do you include in the lists to more mileage out of it? A haris? Duo?

I loved the idea of playing pain train list, but couldn't make it work. Losing the HMG to a kamau or noctifer in the first order was an insurmountable setback. Multiple jammers or mines in the midfield a mess for the zhensha to clear.

But worst of all to me was making coherency work between the NCO and the two TA dudes to get the most out of the link team. This last point is probably just due to inexperience with the link, but man it was tiresome to deploy and move that link in a proper fashion...

Played so far with zanshi core with haido sniper in it and a zuyong Haris with two tacaware guys in it. With a daoying lt2 and a mowang, it's a bunch of extra orders in a limited insertion group with some good order efficiency.
I've stopped doing tournies regularly so mainly play against my local meta and they're fun to play, I've been enjoying it.
