Sounds like the rest of my life, lol. Currently waiting on a plethora of things from Netflix series to movies and graphic novels… waiting and seeing has become an art form for me. I guess I can add N5 into the mix.
To the question "this means that PanO will loose sectorials" Bostria answered "yes". Does that mean ALEPH will gain 1? no... but there's room for it
CB might come up with something new, just like they did with Onyx, but right now there's nothing in Aleph which could act as a base for that third sectorial. For PanO we've heard that Acon and NCA are out. The latter stays in a way, as PanO Reinforcements are mostly NCA units.
I don't think PanO's going below four Sectorials; Military Orders sells incredibly well compared to everything else in the faction, but has such a distinct style and toolkit that it meshes poorly with the rest in Vanilla. And a two-Sectorial base for Vanilla PanO would be pretty sad, given how few special tricks the faction has. ALEPH has enough really out-there options in SP and OSS that its Vanilla is still a standout even with the reduced Sectorial count. If it needed a third Sectorial, I'd probably guess a full black-ops team after what happened to Achilles- pulling back on the whole "acceptable public persona" in favour of a secure and controllable force for the most critical tasks, to hell with O12's restrictions.
@SpectralOwl PanO will have four from what we know, MO, VIRD, SWF, and Kestrel. Aleph special team - possible, but that's just OSS. New, reduced and more cohesive vanilla will already be a joint ops. Well, we'll wait and see.
When was it confirmed that was the four for PanO? Those makes sense, but I did not see anything definitive. Was some more information released recently that I missed? Thank you for your help.
Definitely nothing definitive, but the book Bostria showed had Patsy Garnet's unit icon, as well as the Cutter, in PanO Vanilla. Given I don't imagine they'll be dropping SWF due to its recency, those four are the prevailing theory.
We have no information about VIRD staying, its an old sectorial older than most people think, with nothing been released in ages. Because the teased Generic PanO pic has VIRD and NCA units, better assume that NCA and VIRD are gone along the ASA who we have almost complete confirmation it is going.
Another piece of info, from the same video, is that Mid October will see some more definite updates, so no long to wait
I know this should go into o12 but it’s my other faction because hectors the man…. Guess who is not in o12?! If hector gets yanked outa vahnilla Aleph im gonna be really pissed
The compulsory reminder that units removed from generic lists are not necessary removed from the sectorial they were supposed to be part of.
Seems like Bostria told "you" so: On The Tabletop confirmed that PanO will have only 4 sectorials including generic, Military orders, the new one and winterfor. Easiest ones will be Nomad and Yu Ching that already have 4 sectorials. Ariadna will have Kosmoflot, USARF and Tatari, CA and Druze are also at 4. The factions missing a complete set are Tohaa (Bostria said they will receive a lot of love), JSA (they just came out and have 3), O-12 for which Torchlight was designed for N5 and Aleph (Bostria didn't get into details). New Fireteam rules favor Dakini like crazy: 5-rem dakini will get 6th sense (changed rule), BS+1 (not +3 anymore), +1B discard 1 dice after roll, +3WIP discover and +1PH dodge roll. They were already a force to be reckoned with, now the purity factor in the FT will help. Hoping for Dawon and Riksha to be classified as Dakini and one can field a MA (changed rules) Dakini in a link team ;) The 18th of Nov will see the big update with PDF and Army
According that Nexus still have the keyword, the Batroid fireteams are also in a very good place and will remain at the top of the food chain... :)
