She had, before the steel phalanx rework. After the rework she was downgraded to mimetism-3 and way cheaper, and now she received an additional 3 point discount with no change in profile
with last changes in army she become mimetism -3 already and lost ph-1 with somedrop in points and gaining smoke and 2w instead. frankly speaking i can take her if only she arrives 20-22 points in cost.
Most bikes that already had Mimetism went down in points with the season change. You can no longer forgo Impetuous to gain cover but Mimetism-3 was kept on all bikes and those already with it went down in points. Less than 30 points for a fast, reasonably durable specialist that'll straight up murder TAGs in CC is an absolute steal IMO.
One of the main problems of the steel phalanx is that your deployment zone is too crowded already with many units. 2 links, netrods,lamedths probots etc. about price /efficinecy - Also There is Zuleyka in this game.
Then take Zuleyka, oh wait, you can't! So if you want a fast durable specialist you're looking at Penny, and she's a damn good one. The order efficiency of an 8-6 specialist in any sort of button pushing scenario is worth her points alone. Crowded DZs aren't a unique thing to the Steel Phallus, ask any faction with a biker Haris or dependence on S4 attack Remotes. Penny is also leaving that DZ pretty quickly. Also I thought we decided Netrods were rubbish now?
Yes... all those plentiful, dirt cheap, mediocre Steel Phalanx units... that just crowd out the space entirely...
Probot That AVA one is endlessly annoying. Realistically though, after playing NCA and Dahshat (including in N3) current steel phalanx deployment zones are downright roomy, unless the table is a real challenge.
