Well in Ariadna you buy the traktor mules and are done. (Not that Ariadna armies are cheap) If you play NCA you buy 2 packs dronbots one 30 buck peacemaker, 1 pack bulleteers, one pack mulebots. (And yes i field all of those in my standard NCA lists) But yeah the traktors win the single box price race.
Make that 3 packs of Dronbots - sometime you want to field full Pathfinder/Fugazi net and a Sierra (sometimes even a Clipper). And double Peacemaker lists are not unheard of ;) Yeah, PanO isn't cheap when it comes to remotes.
I own 2 Fugazi, pathfinder, 2 Seirra and a Clipper and i still cant fill out ASA AVA for the dron bots
I ordered my first box of remotes. Aleph ones because I'm not paying that much money for old, mediocre sculpts. Everyone in the local meta is fine with proxies so they'll be any same size remotes as needed. Played without them until now and at the very least it allows me to easily reform core link of Bagh Mari and Regulars multiple times throughout the game.
The only good thing about remotes is that they play across the sectorials. I am toying with moving into another Pano sectorial at the minute, and it just makes it so much cheaper knowing that I already have a core of models that will be used. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
A trick when you don't want to buy two sierra box : I didn't glue my mulebot to the base. That ways I can put them on a S3 base and pretend they are extra Fugazi or Sierra or whatever I need (doesn't work if you wanna field mulebot AND sierra/gazi/pathfinder of course)
I'm not a player, but from an aesthetic point of view, I would love more Bolts. I really like the way they look and would love more, ideally in action poses. A lady Bolt with a spitfire and grenades would be an instant buy for me, but I'm biased there. Add a holstered Medikit and it would be perfect. Of course it's a bit of a dream. I'd settle for enough parts to make that myself!
Bolts already have more N3 era sculpts than any other profile in the game! The Alguaciles will be the first to pull even when their paint set is released. Not that I'd mind a non-hacker BSG sculpt or two :P
I do hope that we get a Bolt BSG blister sometime soon. Bonus points if it comes with two drop bears!
Well like I said, I go mostly for aesthetic since I don't play the wargame. So optimization doesn't bother me! Except in the RPG.
I used to field one sometime but except on the hackers profiles, I prefer Combi+LSG and DB one to the BSG.
Same here. My usual opponent plays OSS, so being able to outrange the SMGs of Dart and the Mk5 Posthuman or some big DTWs is well worth the extra cost. I would still like a standalone shotgunner though, on account of it being the Haris profile. With the increasing threat of Viral, Shock, E/M and Hacking as well as the utility of their rework the Bolts have actually become my go-to unit for NCA, it's always nice to see people cut themselves off halfway through declaring an attack with a Red Fury and rethink their game plan.
Just returned from the Rust Belt Ruckus in Cleveland this weekend! Dire States event with 48 players from Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Indiana, plus an honored guest from Panama! PanO had the widest representation of any faction there and MO snuck into the top 10 as well! My Varuna didn’t do very hot (1-3, 32nd overall) but I had an absolute blast and met a lot of great people. Battle report write up coming early this week hopefully.
Like Firefangs, I mostly collect for painting things and rpg's, geared towards aesthetics. Mentioning since I don't think I can rightfully answer the last two points. I'm a MO guy, mostly because I like the look of space knights so somethings I'd really like to see: New Montessa, because I want to see what horse and rider design we get. A Knight should be mounted, and given PanO's general aesthetic, I'm excited about the possibilities. Plus my favorite Infinity rpg character is a knight with a high pilot score who steals his handlers bike all the time. It'll be fun to have his own model for it. A new KotHS. I'm modifying one now, but of the N2 sculpts this is one of my favorites amongst the MO's. I just hope it brings home the elite swordsman look the lore says they are. New Santiago's. I got the old pack of boarding shotgun and CCW, because at the time I couldn't find the four pack box in stock anywhere. I don't really want repeats of the same sculpt. My hope though for all these, and there are two, is that 1 we get a female knight for each, and they don't all resemble Hospitallers with a tabard swap. I'm not a fan of them, but I do like the size and general direction they're going in. Also, tags. New tags, like the Seraph in the original size. Tag resculpts, because why not. Just anything tag related. I have a belief that we won't get any new tags however until the rpg book on the subject is closer to release for cross hype purposes. New factions... I'd like one that combined MO and samurai... and tags. Guess I wrote a lot, TL:DR; Knights and mechs, please.
That is one of the things that bothers me from CB. We have an interesting profile in the Montesa, but no miniature for it. And not that long ago, CB released the 112 on a bike which didn't even had a profile when it was released. Apart from the Hospitallers, all the Knight models are obsolete, all need to be resculpted urgently, but to be honest, I don't think MO is top in CB's priority list at the moment. I also wish that each order has something unique in the sculpt apart from a different color scheme or different tabard. The current Santiago model has the "boat pattern" helmet, that people love or hate. I like that unique aspect of the Santiago, but I don't like that helmet. As for the female knights, I'm pretty sure females can't reach higher than Magisters in the MO structure. And we have some girls-knights in the Magister box.
