I'm building slowly knowledge and fun playng this game and i'm starting to understand how PanO works, what can field and what not. Since in our group of player we are 4 we are starting to think about playng a second faction (or at least i'm thinking about it). What could be an opposite playstile faction to look? Keep in mind that in our meta we have an Aleph, Haqquislam and a Nomads. Thanks for all the hints guys
You've been playing MO, yeah? MO is a pretty unique/distinct way to play PanO. It's wildly different from the other three PanO Sectorials. VIRD, Acon and NCA are distinct from one another, but they still have more in common with each other than MO does. So there's probably still a lot of room to explore within PanO itself. It's a big faction, very well supported. Ariadna's the distinct outlier though. You should definitely have an Ariadna player in your group, if you really want a complete cross-section of all the plastyles the game has to offer. Ariadna and Haqq have some elements in common, but Ariadna's a very, very unique army.
I started with PanO and went to Ariadna, they have lots of things that PanO lack (smoke, warbands, plentiful skirmishers and camo) and force a very different playing style as they lack the robust, high BS platforms of PanO and have no TO/ODD/MSV2+
Not only. I played a couple of Match with MO and the rest with NCA. So definitely Ariadna could be a good second option do go to the opposite side of what i'm playng with. I really like Ariadna playstyle
When I was looking for another, completely different army to complement my Acon, I went Shasvastii. But now they're equally good in direct action as they are in dirty tricks. I agree that Ariadna would be the best fit.
