And Karhu... box of three gets Karhu done easy. MULTI Rifle w/E-Marat, w/Blitzen, and Feuerbach... so much fun!!!
Like seriously we got the games first Full HI AD, we have HI bikes with high B weaponry that has range to get it across the table, we have FD HI and we have doctor and hacker HI out the whazoo. MO is lit
lol... I think id prefer a blister for them - id be happy to convert. A box of 3 multi rifles kind of rubs me the wrong way.....
Played a few 150pt games last night, against OSS and Ikari with vanilla PanO. The Auxilia remains excellent, especially now that the LT isn't taxed and the Auxbot can Dodge and Prone with everyone else. The Bolt Sniper is very useful for cancelling modifiers but isn't amazingly reliable thanks to its low burst and lack of its own defensive mods. I would have probably lost the OSS game without the Akal Combi; it took down half a Dakini link after walking on and getting inside 8 of the Sniper, then died like an idiot due to Religious Troop stopping him from escaping to cover. I'm planning on getting used to it; N4 seems to be AD Edition between turtling Hackers and smaller lists.
And they all perform better in vanilla lists than in MO (except for santiago AD obviously, but who really cares about reserving 40+ points in an already expensive sectorial in the orbit, right?)
MO doesn't preform well in ITS and is quite an inflexible force, especially compared to all the N4 fireteam updates that give everyone from CJC to IA far more flexible link options. MO clearly did not get the same level of attention of many other factions. The few changes MO got are mostly on units being used by other secotirals, Sval and White Company. So I have to ask you, why are you so shocked people are not happy about MO in N4? The Santiago is 45 points for an AD with only combat jump. So its a very risk AD troop to use. If it had parachuist I'd be far more excited about it but its right now a very gimmicky profile that not really competitive. As for the Hospitller BSG FD 8", I fail to see the point of this profile. Theres better ways to spend 36 points, like on a Monesta Knight with red fury.
Big call for a new edition thats only a few days old. And MO was fine, its even better now in N4. Been there, done that
They really dont, not when you can back them up with mixed HI links that are tailored to requirements in an edition where the troop cap of 15 means your 10 HI heavy list can roll through people
I heard this in N3, and MO remain subpar even after its rework. It just doesn't preform well in a competitive environment. We occasionally see someone win a tournament with MO but its not something consistent. But I guess I won't get a more in depth response on why MO is actually strong despite it not preforming in ITS. I personally no longer recommend new players to even buy into MO because I've seen far too many people do that and end up benching the army if not selling the minis afterward. Too many people that bought the MO 300 point box set and regretting it.
I'm curious about this point of view. Con you please expand this a little more? I've read a lot fo reasonable argument about MO beeing less than competitive and a bit ignore by Cb hand of rework, you are sayng the opposite and in the deep of my noobness i really would like to read your point of you a bit more detailed if you want, just to have the two side of the coin. Tank you!
Ah, I'm not trying to troll you or mock you. I am serious. I do not get why you think MO is strong despite all evidence to the contrary. If your having a lot of success with MO in your local meta then please tell us how your playing it. Because I clearly don't understand how to make MO work and I could use the help. Please?
MO is far from what it was when I first started playing this game, it has spent all of N3 progressively becoming more and more flexible with more and more options. It now sits in an edition where not only is the competition against massed armour effectively gutted due to the 15 troop limit, but where MOs drawbacks have been massively mitigated due to changes to states and how you get out of them, changes to crits and how impactful they are, changes to hackers and the options we have to deal with them ant due to profile changes. Running 8 or so HI supported by 2 or so MI/LI has the potential to put almsot more than double the raw wounds and hitting power on the table as other lists and doesnt even sacrifice order count to do it.
