Nobody. That's a B3 Oblivion Danavas, the normal version is B2. It doesn't actually bother me much, since CLAW-style hacking is still better as a reactive-turn thing and we can throw Oblivion right back at them from a host of cheap Fusiliers, or a Bolt with Veteran. The gap in Hacking capability is much smaller than it was before, with only about four units in the game getting clear advantages- and outside Nomads, they're hugely expensive.
One day id love design team to actually respond to this. I want to at least see the bloody thought process that goes on. You think even if their in office meta is super different the desig philosophy or at least thought process would remain consistent across factions
Me too...I just dont get, why already good stuff got cheaper and better, while some that was underwhelming to begin with, has been barely touched.
I'm basically taking nothing as final at this point, I'll give them a week to iron the bugs out (I want my Cutter to have a B4 EXP weapon, but I'm pretty sure it's unintended).
Agreeing with Teslarod, this has become an insane slugfest between extremely efficient killers. Everyone keeps telling me all the new stuff is great but they're just looking at everything in a vacuum and not how they effect the game. Not super excited about PanO right now. If I'd known our new stuff and update preview was simply Kaldstrom I'd have focused on my CA.
this list istn real right? you dont intend to run this against any kind of tournement. uff. yes it got orders, but so few bodys any hacker or template weapon, esp. em/adhesive will kill it.
Came back from a loooong hiatus to see this thread. I was curious about N4, but it's disappointing to hear that the first impressions are that the game is even more kill heavy. I can't wait to get this edition on the table and see if the theorycrafting holds up.
No, I wont run it, but I like that it would be possible. The opponent won't have enough hackers to get them all down. :-p Also 1 TAG is always a target, but with more they will be taking the heat off from each other. However I would probably run a 2-TAG list on certain missions. With Joan they are not eating a lot of point but also giving orders for a decent price.
couple more things ive noticed: - really enjoying building lists for winterfor. not sure if I remember them being this diverse but Im enjoying it. - REMs not needing a hacking device anymore is so great for list building - so often the measly fusi hacker felt like this burdensome tax I can now just ignore.
Interesting to note, pano has among the highest gizmokit values in the game, remotes no longer have a negative to dodge, and almost all tags dodge on 11 regardless of physical now. The boyg is also looking rather good as he's armor 8 in cover and dodging on 16's if he needs to with the +1 B if he shoots. The hexas picked up shock immune, which is a nice freebie. Krakots and bounty hunters get to reroll their metachemistry/booty rolls, that's kinda cool. Fairy dust being able to apply to Tags and remotes could be helpful, and it looks like assisted fire is now only provided by evo hacking devices. Though I wonder if we'll see bulleteers taken as much now that marksmanship no longer gives shock. Oh and I absolutely love the changes to Joan.
Man i thought we were doom and gloom but i went to check the spanish forum for pano and it hasnt even had a post since june ... oof
