So, i have more dillemas than before :), main problem is choosing midfield specialists for engineering deck. Nagas are cheaper but probably will not survive, dasyu is expensive thou. Mk5 is not enough, so maybe i should also take mk2 hacker.

If you go second, a mk2 hacker (and 2 other proxies so the enemy doesn't know if you have a Garuda or a mk2) can certainly win the game in the last turn!

I’m not saying it’s fool proof. I’m not saying there are not plenty of options to respond. I’m saying it’s a tool, among many.

I wonder about usefullness of Garuda Spitfire, do I realy need it for objective room mission? Maybe i should swap it for a naga minelayer or Zayin ?

Another approach could be to field a Fireteam:Core of Devas.
I like their NWI, combined with the Nanopulsers and their MSV- and Sensor-Options. Their limited range would not be that much of a disadvantage.

I was successful when I used them to hold mostly enclosed areas. I even like to take two MSV-loadouts.

A Naga minelayer is a great option for an objective room mission. The Zayin can be good for covering entrances as well. I’d probably pick the naga though.

But why would you want more then 2 devas? Yes, you can plug the samekh in for range, but devas dont have that many profiles to plug holes with, theyre pricy and no better then line inf vs shock(templates). Going 2 deva 3 dakini should be a lot better in most cases, because better rangeband options, better move if you really need it, minetism on half your guys (msv less common then shock), cheaper and an option to add a CSU for short range cheaply (or breaker rifle!)

    I agree with you.

Just in Objective Rooms I take them for the durability. In my meta cheap units (often obscured by smoke or some level of camo) are often used to clear the perimeter. Devas don't go down by one chain-template and have a better chance of survival against fire than Dakinis with ARM 2 and the final split up (everyone not under the template shoots(at least one) and the others dodge(without the -3 for REMs)). Against Camo-Troops they can use their Nanopulsers and are therefor not effected by the vision-mods. It is to more difficult to defeat them with kamikaze attacks, especially if the opponent uses unsupported single troopers. And if the big guys show up, they are not without chances. I support them with snipers and one assault hacker (not Deva). I try to make it as difficult as possible to get to the Objective Room without Camo or smoke.

And I don't use the Deva-Hackers in the Fireteam. The hackable characteristic is too easy to use against Fireteams. The Samekh would also become the weak spot, once you have reached the Objective Room.

Range is the big disadvantage of a Deva-Core, but if the ZoC is in the middle of the table, the Spitfire is (from my point of view) good enough, if there is opposition on the way to the Obj. Room. In reactive turn I try to take cover and make it as order-expensive as possible, to dig me out. No LoF from the Team outside of the room. That is the job of my supporters.

I find devas to be better as a haris than a core fireteam (i mean a pure core, not a mixed deva/dakinis which is very good). The deva haris profile is pretty useful for camo hunting and can work very well with a MSV2 deva. The last one can be a FO deva, or maybe a MULTI rifle deva if special ammo are needed.
