    Hi,

I am new to infinity and new to Aleph. I am starting to play with a friend and we are expanding to 300 point lists. I have the Aleph models from cold front and am hopping to expand from there.

Does this list look with it would be fun/competitive?

Hey, that list is actually pretty awesome! As a rule of thumb spending as much of your swc as possible is good and you made a pretty awesome limited insertion (1 combat group) list. Has a lot of firepower (incredible alpha strike team in the asura and yadus + dakini 5 man hmg support) and plenty of specialists (6!)

You can also build the list with a bare minimum purchases of the proxy 1g box (1,1,2,3 proxies - use one as the mk5 until you buy the 2nd box), the asura and the lamedh remote box. If you have Beyond coldfront Shakti is an excellent proxy for your NCO HMG yadu, and its easy enough to find a proxy for a 4th dakini

Then boom, 300pt list in 3 purchases :) (If you don't have Beyond, use the Shukra as a second Yadu and the naga as an extra dakini maybe?)

It might take some time to get used to moving a 5 man fireteam however, i find it can be a little bit awkward to move around at first.

If i could make any suggestions to your OSS list by focusing primarily on Coldfront models to keep your purchases to a minimum hmmm.... It'd probably be very much worth your time finding points for a Shukra consultant, one comes in Coldfront. The 25pt Chain of Command profile means that the Asura can go and fight without caring if she dies.

You might also want to sidegrade one of the dakini tacbots to a CSU specialist - it saves you 3 points but the CSU helps out with the ability to go prone, and not being as afraid of template weapons.

The final bit of advice is to maybe try and find the points for a Naga. the Naga minelayer profile is near and dear to my heart when i am facing a situation where i'm going second and need to slow the enemy down, a mine and a camo shotgun will do just the job. The naga KHD is generally beloved, and for meme value the monofilament mine naga is hilarious

Important future purchase would be the support box for the Netrods, yudbots, and Sophie. But generally OSS has such great options you can go anywhere from the baseline you've built

    Thanks for your help!

With your input to add the Naga minelayer, CSU, and Shukra, I can field this list:

Are the Naga minelayer, and Shukra better than the posthumans?

    Also, is Sophie = Sophotects?

    Yeah sohpie is the sophotect!

Id probably keep running the post human if it was me - they are very strong and flexible. If you feel like you need to save points you can always run just 2 bodies though like mk2 bsg+assauld hacking device and mk5. Both sre specialists :). And if you go that road and want another slight saving you could then replace the deva assault hacking device with a sensor deva (combos with the lamedh sniffer and helps remove camo markers)

Thats the pain of Osss so many good options its jard to fit them

I'd look at possibly changing the Deva in your first list to a base HD instead. It is likely that your Asura will not be in hacking range to supportware them while you pretty much have to be if you are in the same link. The Lamedh can help to cover that for the Asura. Both situations have your supportware in a link which can cause problems to activate it.
