It's more compatible as in "can legally be used to replace the model from Reckless Hearts in an official setting". Bear in mind that none of the skins and alternates are playable out of the box as they don't come with tactics cards.
CB loves to copy pop culture for its sculpts. They should have a mini based on The Rock, and having him standing on a tactical rock, with the rock perhaps balanced on some tactical junk. He should have his fist out, like something throwing Stone in Paper-Scissors-Stone.
I guess we'll just have to disagree on that point. To me, making a specific advertising point that the model is an alternate sculpt "fully compatible" with Aristeia (their words, not mine), implies it would at least consist of the same components as previous alternate sculpts for Aristeia. I.e. a model *and* cards (and a hexagonal base, for that matter). If not, the model is no more "fully compatible" with Aristeia than any other model (Corvus Belli or otherwise), and the point they made in their advertising is confusingly superfluous at best, downright misleading at worst. Either way, I'm contacting the store about returning the O:W boxed set, as it didn't contain what was advertised (i.e. an alternate sculpt which is "fully compatible" with Aristeia, in the manner that previous alternate sculpts have been).
I think you missunderstood "fully compatible". That miniature is fully compatible if you have the Reckless Heart expansion for Aristeia! The same way as Lunah (https://store.corvusbelli.com/wargames/infinity/miniatures/major-lunah-viral-sniper-rifle) is fully compatible as her cards are in the starter box. Dart last year was advertised as Aristeia! Skin that could be used in Infinity, not the other way round and Dart came in the same package as the other Aristeia! Skins not in an Army or Initiation Set. So i dont see any missleading.
Perhaps it could have been better worded. I get both sides of the issue here; " fully compatible" is a bit different to "acceptable proxy we didn't give you the 30mm base for" ,which is the more realistic phrasing
Aren't we allowed to proxxy pretty much anything in ITS? (as longas it is clear what is what) Is that different in Aristeia? I don't play that game so i wouldn't know.
I guess the major gripe is that the card from the character is missing, it's a bit misleading the way it was worded, because it's true that this Hipp release is not the same as it happened with Dart or this new Valk. It's a skin that can be used and that's it. I also don't really understand the usage of the word fully compatible... just a matter of looks really... visual compatibility.
As you always need the Aristeia Tactics Cards from the expansions to really play a sculpt the whole lamenting is pointless. The initiative cards from dart and Valkyrie are simply nice goodies with an alt art.
I don't know about Aristeia, but Infinity states you can use any Corvus Belli model that more or less represents the profile as proxy... So I could use the Myrmidon Officer as Hyppolita's proxy if I want... or a sword-toting Juana, for example... If the same extrapolates to Aristeia... XD
