I'm not sure they need an entire sectorial, I think some mercenary companies can get by just as a troop entry, like the Kaplans do.

It will be interesting to see if they join CHA or any of the existing "Paper Sectorials".

Id bet the same applies to Haqq too. Not that our new units arent pretty good, its just some existing units (we all know which) could have been updated.

 

I'm gonna wait for the rest of the profiles, but at the moment I don't get what the theme for O-12 is besides "bland hyper optimized profiles because maybe we rushed the release?"

Until they get something like a Swiss Guard or Aquila they're not PanO. We'll see what the Omega is like.

 

It would help stem faction bloat at this point. There are so many sectorials to choose form now as it is. Perhaps having Varangian Guard as a unit like the Kaplan Tigers is better in the longrun for everyone.

Depends how the faction shakes out in the end. SMGs are fantastically poor outside 8, and I've had to call on a Zhanshi or Fusilier Hacker to save the game a few times when the midfield Specialists get ganked by Dart or something. Since O-12 seems quite light on markers those midfielders will be more vulnerable than anywhere else save NCA and Morats, so I suspect that I may miss the Combi Rifle's passable rangebands if I pick up O-12.

 

Don't worry, just buy the latest O12, it has very futuristic profiles!

 

Or stick with Mutts, the refusal to modernise applies to all parts of the tier list equally!

 

I don't like the trend that we get sculpts for profiles we don't use. Just count the No. of SMG profiles and the sculpts. Not only in the new box, but for example with the Zhensha released lately. If its a plan from CB to sell the models for these profiles later I'm fine with that. They are allowed to make money. But with the current release rate of new profiles I have the fear that we don't get a full catalog of models for different profiles anymore.

 

I actually really like the trend of putting SMGs on hackers for profile functionality and theme reasons. I hope we see it more.

 

I can't bring myself to be mad about it. This game has never been WYSIWYG, and has the most generous proxy rules ive ever seen,

Every time they show news, I am more convinced that CB doesn't work the same way when designing some factions/sectorials than others, like if they knew that they can do a poorer work with some faction designs and still sell because they are cool and have a good fanbase

 

Eh, I wish SMGs didn't have special ammo types. If they were normal ammo I'd be ok with it.
