Looks pretty cool to me. I'm not sure that's an S5 guy or just a bit bigger. But I can imagine them changing the Mermidons. They did it with MO after all.

The jump troop does look a little more armored but I think it's just a new Ragiks. The same happened with Tiger soldiers. They became a little more armored looking from the 1st ed figs. The original Ragiks are pretty old style figs too.

 

That Haqq Combat Jump Troop looks like a Ragik (compare upper body armor to existing sculpt) with new Jump packs (old Sculpts were those wings like on the Bashi or YuanYuan sculpts). old sculpt Ragiks have massive armor, too. His weapon looks like Rifle/Shotgun combo - that's a missing profile with the Hacker/Spitfire Blister.

 

That guy is way more armored than the Ragiks. And has those servo-muscles of heavy infantry, and the feet make me think "Remote".
Looking at it zoomed in now, I'm actually pretty sure about the Red Fury. Haqqs Rifle+Lsg has no foregrip and a different stock.

 

Did you miss the new Rasyat? That monkeyboy is a block of armour with an engine on the back

 

It's way easier to make fun of the upcoming IRON Phalanx models.

The two sentence teaser for the story strikes me as very...

 

This is what a Haqq Red fury looked like. Perhaps that guy wields a new design of it?

 

Artwork doesn't always directly translate to the minis, like the dual wielding Vargar on the Beyond: Kaldstrøm cover.

 

Man its been a minute since ive been on here but now that theres actual haqq hype being built i can jump back in. Looks like my predictions are shaping up nicely. New lasiq keeping the cloak pattern is cool, also holding a marksman rifle, maybe a viral/marksman. Im hoping that they didnt beef up the myrms that much and that the image is the hoplite variant i guessed a while back. New haqq jump HI with red fury? Since theres no wings might i suggest super jump instead? Not sure why haqq needs a new HI though or such a wild re design of the ragik?

 

My first thought was Lasiq too, but if that's a marksman rifle then it's probably a Nadhir.

 

I would guess its an S5 in the Style of the big JSA Samurai. In MO it was a knight that grows from S2 to S5 that had one or two sculpts? Myrmidons have 6 minis in total - that is not a good Idea to change them in a singele or a couple of S5. So I guess Myrmidons staying what they are but get a resculpt. That guy in the right corner could be a Myrm or a Thora - its hard to say. From the picture of the Maruts I would say thats the new Thorakitai. Together with the big guy we have 4 out of 7 minis. Maybe we will have no Myrms in the box and they will come later. I would say we will get an Ekdromoi and two character resculpts or one or two new chars/models.

 

We already saw three Ekdromoi in the Marut picture, so it would seem a safe bet to me those are in Operation: Blackwind.

ALEPH has Achilles, a TAG, on S2 base. I don't expect S5 models in Iron Phalanx. Achilles wears Hoplite armour, so large dude from the picture could be new HI wearing the same armour ( and still be on S2 base ).

 

But all we know how CB likes to do S5 models, because they are cool, so I didn't bet against the presence of S5. At least one of the factions shold have one if we take a look on previous releases.

Of course, as you said, the picture could be a HI, we have a bunch of S2HI in game which could be taken for S5... New Asawira (almost so big as alfasid or azrail)

You mean you don't expect more S5 models? Ajax is already an S5 in the Steel Phallus.

 

I assume videos start on the same day as the preorder, so July 26th, with a Carlos Belli trademark "Noisy Trailer" some time the week before

 

Operation Kaldstrom and Crimson Stone didn't have S5 units.
