Yeah, I have. It's absolutely doable to make decent enough models in Siocast (better organic than technological though, properly sharp corners /edges like the metal models have are not happening in Siocast - maybe that new material can do them?), the chief issue is that so far CB output has not been up to the quality of those werewolves.

IF the new Siocast 2.0 is adapted AND it permits CB to get a lot closer to metal quality while being easier to work on than the current iteration - I'd probably be fine with everything in Siocast. It's the quality and sharpness of detail I'm after, as well as ease of cleanup.

What bothers me is that you buy an expensive machine to make siocast figures, but in the fantasy game, you stated that al figures will be chinese aristeia plastic (last expansions quality), instead of home made siocast

Did they confirm that? All the teasers I've seen just say "plastic" which could also mean Siocast

Yeah, I feel like they very much avoided saying what specific material was being used for Warcrow (kickstarter or full minis game).

I didn't even take that into account, lol. I assumed it'd be Siocast, new or old. If they go with PVC miniatures, good luck with the game, it's DOA.

I think they said it about the dungeon crawler, I may be wrong, regardless there is a lot of time between now and then, people can give their feedback.

For the record though the quality of the latest A! models is good.

Decent enough is more like it, especially compared to the awful corebox minis. It's nowhere close to excellent CMON stuff like Zombicide 2nd edition, Rising Sun or Monolith's Batman: Gotham City.

yeah, contradictory news yesterday. At this moment, PVC for Dungeon Crawler, and siocast for the wargame.

I did not see that, but that would not surprise me.

I didn't realise Warcrow would be plastic, of either variety. That slightly dampens my excitement for it for now, tbh.

I can't know for sure who they're aiming at with Warcrow, but it'd make sense they're not particularly targeting the existing Infinity players. Going with plastic, any kind, actually gives them a better chance to reach a larger audience. Let's not forget there's a very large bunch of hobbyists out there who do not care for metal at all...

If its anything like the new Nomad remotes, the material the Warcrow wargame will use wouldn't deter me from trying the game.

I don't particularly care for metal myself, but I much prefer it to PVC and i'm just hoping they've got SioCast to a good reliable level of quality by the time Warcrow comes out proper.

Someone on the IGC wrote that this SIOres Hard is the material CB is going to use from now on. Can anybody from CB confirm that?

The thing that makes me worry is the price. Siocast itself is fine, I guess.
But as I said earlier, siocast in price of metal is a pain.
What if miniatures would be better in price after becoming siocast completely?
Sometime I am thinking about it as an acceptable compromise.

And if quality would be on level. Only better.

I am still in dilemma. If this happened, I would be sad about metal elite miniatures.
But also I could be one of those, who would buy some new boxes... feel some kind of guilt.

But after all there are more difficult questions in the world, right)
So, we would see as always. Some of us on different stages of acceptance... for now.

So far the plastic quality is...not great. I still don't like soft bendy plastics. Additionally charging the same for low end plastics as they do for metal is insulting.

Would those be the same people that consider McDonald's to be American food?

It may well be American, or not, but food? Nope. Feed maybe, but not food.

PVC is very much low end plastic. SioCast is definitely a higher quality material and produces better miniatures. I base this on my experiences with many PVC minis over the years (D&D minis, WizKid minis for D&D, and some 1st gen Reaper Bones minis) They are gamepieces, nothing more. The few SioCast Bones USA minis I have are much, much better.

PVC minis in the dungeon crawler is a deal breaker for me.

Edit to remove accidental post from wrong thread.
