It should be easy to model: inner and outer spheres, then cut a hole... but polishing to get a good surface sounds tricky. Maybe model it very thin, print it and do basic surface smoothing, then coat inner side with liquid resin, cure with UV lamp, repeat for the outer side. Other ideas that come to mind are about thin silicone "gloves" with hard backing to try to cast it in transparent resin, or blow mold it in PET using similar mold. Nothing simple.
I really love this army. The colour scheme is very cohesive across th whole force. A bit cray cray that when the bounty hunter chick pops off her bike she turns into Saito Togan but what the hey lol! I think you have upped your game though and this is your best army yet.
After so many miniatures, I think the base style choice was great. It ties them together even when the color scheme varies (eg Casanova and REM racer vs many soldiers that go with tan/brown/blue). They live in the same world, so to speak. Yep, and in in a more Infinity sense, they have some models that can work in civilian, "near future" soldier, TAG pilot, companion bot or furry roles. And some head sprues, but no idea if right size.
That's what I'm taking away from this XD I'll see if I can find something else that works ;) High praise! Thank you very much :) And yes, the Bounty Hunter is a bit weird. But I didn't want to buy another MBH just to put her on an S2 base. That was my big takeaway from my earlier projects. Use a strong, cohesive, and easy to duplicate base design – it will take care of up to 50% of what makes an Army look good on the table. Since you're looking down from above most of the time, you will notice the bases more than anything else. Anyway, here's something new. I decided to get Parvati after all. Originally I had planned to just proxy her with the Lambda Doctor, but I REALLY liked the LE model. Since I couldn't come up with anything else, I decided to try and replicate the studio scheme for once: And here's a side-by-side. I can blame the picture quality for some of the dicrepancies (still figuring stuff out – these are especially noisy and dark), but not for all. Obviously, I'm still not quite at the same level.
I realized I never shared my Betatrooper. I converted him to a Spitfire since that's the most used profile. Got it from the Defiance Delta, who in turn got this guy's Multi Rifle. Magnetized Betatrooper plus magnetized Lambda also transforms into poor man's Alpha:
It's been a while since I added something to my O-12, but this Crusher's pose is so awesome she was begging to join the collection. As always, I used one of Theo Stalyanides' artworks as a reference. Just this time I chose one with a slightly different color scheme, resulting in darker armor: Now I'm almost sad I didn't paint my whole O-12 in that scheme. Which one do you like better?
In white and blue, it gives a bright side that seems to give a more UN White Helmets look that fits well with the lore, it's nice, but the red/gray scheme brings something else, it gives more consistency to the detail than the official scheme, it would have its place for a mercenary list with some fusiliers in this sheme. Have you noticed that the crusher in this sheme looks like Blade OPS? Spoiler: 1
After finishing half of my Bakunin Observance Action Pack, I lost momentum on edge-highlighting cream white and needed a change. So I finally set down and painted something for my O-12 that I had long wanted to add – the wonderful Psi-Cop hacker. Since she will serve as the Multi Marksman Rifle profile 9 out of 10 times, I added a printed MMR to her base. I also varied the color scheme on her a bit again, using the dark black-blue from my remotes on her coat. And one more thing: Even though this is a fairly recent sculpt, boy did I feel reminded of N2-era models with how small and delicate the details on her are...
There's this one list I've been wanting to play for over a year now. I got it from @RobertShepherd (who else). It's a double Gamma list. For the last nine months, I had everything to play this list except for two models: A Psi-Cop, and a third Copperbot. I already showed you the Psi-Cop. Now, I finally finished the last missing Copperbot as well. In fact, I went ahead and painted another set of two. Kyttä Oko All four Copperbots: 2 Kyttä [yellow], 1 Oko [red], 1 Millicent [blue] And for those of you interested, here's the list. It has been slightly modified to incorporate the new Roadbot, but is otherwise very close to Mr. Shepherd's original idea: Double Gamma ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 10 GAMMA (Lieutenant) Heavy Machine Gun / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 53) GAMMA Feuerbach / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 54) PSI-COp (Multispectral Visor L1) Nanopulser(+1B), MULTI Marksman Rifle ( ) / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 9) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Inspired by CB's latest idea to present the Interplanetario winner lists, I made a little collage to visualize the list:
It is impossible to not feel the itch of using both HMG and Feuberbach gammas at the same time. Their sculpting pose fits perfectly when paired together!
So I had my first game with my Double Gammas. Tried out B-Pong from the new ITS 15 set. Opponent played Invincible Army. Because of the mission, I ended up tweaking my list a bit to fit in an Alpha Lt with +1 Cmd Token, seeing the new "O12's Prestige" rule that allows you to use Cmd Tokens to generate a regular order once per turn. This was the list I ended up playing: Double Gamma ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 9 1 1 GAMMA Feuerbach / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 54) GAMMA Heavy Machine Gun / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (1.5 | 53) PSI-COp (Multispectral Visor L1) Nanopulser(+1B), MULTI Marksman Rifle ( ) / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 25) SIRIUS (Hacker, Hacking Device) Submachine Gun ( ) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 25) SIRIUSBOT Heavy Riotstopper / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 5) ALPHA (Lieutenant [+1 Command Token], Strategos L1]) Light Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (0 | 24) CYBERGHOSTS (Hacker, Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle, Pitcher ( ) / Breaker Pistol, PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0.5 | 21) MILLICENT Missile Launcher / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (1.5 | 16) REM RACER (RemDriver [+1 Dam, +1 WIP, +3 BTS]) Light Shotgun / Pistol, PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 12) VARANGIAN Submachine Gun, Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Heavy Pistol, AP CC Weapon. (0 | 3) GROUP 2 3 2 2 ROADBOT (Paramedic) Submachine Gun, Panzerfaust, Heavy Riotstopper ( | MediKit) / Pistol, PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 7) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army And this is what my opponent brought: ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 HAC TAO (NCO) Heavy Machine Gun, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (1.5 | 65) YĀN HUǑ Hyper-Rapid Magnetic Cannon / CC Weapon, Heavy Pistol. (1.5 | 48) HÚLÁNG (Forward Deployment [+8"], Minelayer]) Submachine Gun(+1B), E/M Grenades, D-Charges, Crazykoala / Pistol, Monofilament CC Weapon. (0 | 42) ZHĒNCHÁ (Hacker, Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun ( ) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0.5 | 41) LÙ DUĀN Mk12, Heavy Flamethrower(+1B) ( | Deployable Repeater) / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 8) PANGGULING (Deactivator, Repeater) ( ) / PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 8) 4.5 SWC | 297 Points Open in Infinity Army I don't want to give a full battle report here, just share my experience with the new pieces I included: The double Gammas felt awesome. While the HMG lost the first ftf roll against the Yan Hou and immediately went into NWI, the Feuerbach cleared the guy off the board afterwards. I managed to restore a wound to the HMG with the Roadbot, and both dominated the board for the rest of the game as ARO pieces. The Psi-Cop managed to do a wound to the Hac Tao, though she unfortunately died to the Lu Duan protecting a console because I had run out of orders to tuck her away safely. And the Roadbot+RemRacer combi proved invaluable. Not only did his DAM14 SMG wipe the Zhensha off the board, but he then rolled a perfect 13 when trying to move the beacon, which he only got because of the +1 WIP from the RemRacer. The game ended in a super close 4-4 draw, but was a lot of fun nonetheless. I'll definitely keep playing this list for a while.
Tried out my first 400pts game last Friday. I brought an expanded version of my Double Gamma list. Since I had the SWC and points, I also added a Fuzzbot to give Marksmanship to my Roadbot. The thing is a pain to paint – so many oblique edges that require double edge highlights. But I was super happy when I had finally finished him. Then I forgot him at home for the actual game... Here's to hoping I get to play the list a second time:
Another one painted for my last game. This one I luckily didn't forget to bring: With her, I have two Lynx now:
To finish the Booster Pack Alpha, here's the Razor. Pushed the brightness and saturation of the Flat Red a bit more than on other models. He stands out a bit now, but then again, how often will he actually reveal on the table anyway?
I recently finished the last of my O12 minis. Here's the first of them, Cuervo Goldstein. Converted him with a helmet from a Unit9 print, but I'm really not happy with the conversion (it's pretty sloppy tbh). Painting him felt like a chore too — my original color scheme for my O12 simply doesn't spark a lot of joy anymore. The saving grace was the tactical thing on his base. Played around with some purple and reds, and it's the only part of the mini I'm really happy with.
